Wedding Videographers Dallas Capture Jordan and Josh at Ashton Gardens

To symbolize their new union, Jordan and Josh each poured salt from individual small bags into a common container.  Tradition says their union can only be broken when each grain of salt can be separated out and given to the one who offered it.  The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas.

The beautiful bride chose a strapless lace A-line gown with tiny covered buttons down the back for her wedding day.  Around her waist she tied a satin ribbon in taupe adorned with fabric flowers.  Her bridesmaid, also in long strapless gowns, were in deep blue.  Their gowns were empire-waited.

Because of the three large windows surrounding the Ashton Garden’s chapel, it appeared that the couple was being married in a forest.  Black wrought iron candelabra with white candles provided an elegant background and white columns topped with flowers finished the lovely décor.

Before the wedding, Jordan enjoyed the comfort of Ashton Garden’s dressing room while Josh chatted with our videographers under a sunlit pergola.  After the ceremony, everyone strolled from the pretty chapel to the luxurious reception space.  Jordan and Josh made a grand entrance down the large curved staircase.  The gorgeous space with its brocade walls and crystal chandeliers also has large windows looking out on the woods.

A live band entertained the guests.  The couple danced their first dance together and then danced with their parents.  Jordan cried as she danced with her father.  The tears gave way to laughter as she and Josh cut their cake.

The beautiful wedding cake, decorated with large red roses, looked as if it had been wrapped in yards and yards of white organza ribbon.  The couple cut the first piece and then shared it.  The playful bride demurely accepted a bite from Josh and then shoved a bite into his face.  The groom good-naturedly wiped away his misplaced helping of icing.

Guests enjoyed dancing to the live band and hamming it up with props from the photo booth.  As the couple departed the guests showered them with confetti.  About halfway down the sidewalk, Josh stopped and dipped Jordan for a kiss which the guests heartily applauded.  The couple drove away in a white vintage car.

Jordan and Josh were working with a tight budget.  Still, having a video of their wedding day was important to them.  We understood that.  We’ve filmed many weddings at Ashton Gardens and for most of them we use two cameras.  However, to help Jordan and Josh stay within their budget, we figured out how to capture the wedding and create the illusion of multiple vantage points  with only one camera.

We put the camera on a rolling tripod.  That way we had the best of both worlds – the stability of a tripod for quality shots and the mobility of wheels.  When we took the footage back to the studio, there was a lot of editing to do, but the final product was appreciated by the frugal  couple.

Second Daughter Marries at Ashton Gardens with LeniCam Video Productions

Art was pretty nervous about his wedding day.  Tears rushed to his eyes when his bride entered the chapel.  When she reached his side, they discussed his nervousness in whispers as the ceremony went on around them.  His hands shook as they cut their wedding cake.  Once the formalities were behind him and he had Amanda in his arms for the First Dance, the nerves disappeared and you could see just how happy Art was to have the beautiful Amanda as his companion for life.  Amanda and Art were married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

Amanda was decked out from head to toe for her big day.  Her veil was held in place by a sparkling headband.  Her strapless ballgown with sweetheart neckline was a real showstopper.  The skirt featured wired ruffles running down the length of it, topped off with a sparkling belt and lace bodice.  Under the gown she chose lace espadrilles – a comfortable choice proving she had brains as well as beauty.  The bridesmaids wore short lace dresses in a bright coral with turquoise high-heeled pumps.

Ashton Gardens looked particularly lovely on Art and Amanda’s wedding day.  The gorgeous weather enhanced the view through the three windows surrounding the chapel, looking out onto beautiful wooded scenery.  Pews were decorated by nosegays with large bows and an ornate urn on the stage held an elaborate floral arrangement.  Also gracing the stage were a large wrought iron candelabra, a unity candle and a unity cross.

After the ceremony family and friends joined the couple for some photos and then went to the reception space, just a few feet away.  Art and Amanda lingered in the chapel for a few more shots with Therwhanger Photography and then strolled across to the reception.  As they made a dramatic entrance down Ashton Gardens’ elegant curving staircase, DJ Tommy L. Chamber of Shon-C introduced them to the excited guests.

Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner, had fun in the photobooth and then hit the dance floor.  The DJ kept everyone hopping with a wide variety of music and activities, including the bouquet and garter tosses.  By the end of the evening, Amanda traded her wedding finery in on a pair of shorts with an embroidered boyfriend shirt.  Then Art escorted Amanda to a waiting car while friends and family waved farewell with glowing sparklers.

We love weddings, because no matter how many we attend, we find something wonderful to enjoy.  We were particularly happy to be invited to this one, because we’d videoed her sister Allysa’s wedding just a few years before.  On this day, Art’s extreme nervousness and excitement made the day very special to us and our equipment helped us highlight it in our video.

We used two cameras to video the wedding – one at the back of the chapel and another up front on the stage, hidden behind a floral display.  Our camera on the stage caught the bride’s entrance and the audience’s response, while the camera in the back focused on the nervous groom.  During the ceremony we kept the camera at the front on the couple and we could hear what they said, because we’d put a wireless lavalier microphone on the groom.  That’s how we captured their interaction.

Because we use professional grade HD videocameras we’re able to stay out of sight while we get the shots.  Most videographers don’t have the same zoom capabilities as our cameras, so they have to stay very close to the bride.  We’re able to set up our cameras, get the shots and be virtually invisible throughout the day.

Ying & Taylor Share Language and Love

When Taylor met Ying, she was actually his teacher.  After his graduation, the two began working at the same place.  They became friends and eventually began dating.  Taylor realized that he was always happier when Ying was around, so he proposed.  The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

Beautiful Ying wore a stunning gown.  Strapless with a sweetheart neckline and corset closing, the dress was made of yards and yards of shirred organza, set off just below the waist with a large floral decoration made from organza.  The center of the flower shone with crystals.

Ying accented her wedding day with bright coral.  She carried a bouquet of coral roses and coral rose petals lined the aisle of the chapel.  Her bridesmaids wore short coral chiffon dresses in a variety of styles.  The men wore coral ties and sported coral boutonnieres.

Ying’s mother walked her down the aisle.  As a part of the ceremony, the couple and their mothers took part in lighting a unique unity candle, which was a votive floating in a tall vase of water.  When given permission to kiss his bride, Taylor dipped her for a kiss.  The audience heartily approved.

After the ceremony, Nicole C. Leiser of A Love Story Photography joked with the family and participants as she posed them for portraits.  Then the couple enjoyed one of the treats of having your wedding and reception at Ashton Gardens.  They entered the reception by coming down the elegant long winding staircase framed by gold brocade and crystal chandeliers.

Ying and Taylor kicked off the reception with a choreographed dance which ended with a dip.  Their guests enjoyed a delicious buffet. Dessert choices included a chocolate wedding cake covered in white icing which appeared to be wrapped in lace ribbon and trimmed with coral roses.  Atop the cake was an ivory porcelain bride-and-groom figurine.  Guests could also choose from handmade chocolate truffles, cheese cake and other sweets.

Michael Furr of First Dance DJs kept the reception events rolling along while spinning tunes which filled the dance floor.  When guest needed a break, they could enjoy the photo booth with props provided by Create the Memories.

Ying’s Chinese heritage played an important role during the day.  Taylor shares a knowledge of her native language, so they often communicate in it.  Chinese symbols were used in decorations.  At the end of the reception, Ying changed into a full length red silk cheongsam to participate in a traditional tea service with her new husband, her mother and Taylor’s parents.

Ying and Taylor’s guests showered them with rose petals as they said their farewells.  Then the couple hopped into their car, decorated with red Chinese symbols for good luck, and drove away.

Ashton Gardens is one of our favorite venues for weddings.  Their marvelous wedding coordinators make our job much easier. Stephanie, who coordinated Ying and Taylor’s wedding is a perfect example.  She kept in touch with everyone throughout the day, making sure we all knew what was coming next.  That’s particularly important for us videographer to know, because it helps us to be set up to get the most critical moments of the day.

Another reason we love Ashton Gardens is the lovely chapel with its three big picture windows surrounding the ceremony and the guests.  The lovely wooded scenery makes a beautiful backdrop, but it doesn’t give a videographer anywhere to hide.  That’s no problem for us, because we’ve developed a proprietary remote control camera on a tall tripod which allows us to get tight close-ups of the couple during the vows without having a videographer up front, distracting from the view.

Since we like to be everywhere, all the time, as we record the sights and sounds of a wedding, while remaining virtually invisible to the participants and guests, we have another trick we find useful.  We put a wireless microphone on the groom’s lapel, so we don’t miss a word of the vows or of the couple’s banter during the reception.  At this wedding, since the couple often spoke in a dialect of Chinese, we weren’t able to understand what they were saying, but that doesn’t matter, because we read body language to decide how to shoot and edit.

Where will we have our wedding? It’s one of the first things a newly engaged couple has to consider, because venue determines other things, like budget and theme.

Mario and Priscilla Wedding Videography Dallas TX – Ashton Gardens in Corinth

During their First Dance, Mario and Pricilla disagreed over who loved whom most.  A kiss interrupted the discussion and proved there was plenty of affection in this relationship to last through the years.  Mario and Priscilla were married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

The bride was a stunner.  That was easy to tell as she posed for FOS Photography in the chapel before the wedding.  The setting was lovely.  The chapel is glass on three sides and opens onto dense woods.  Inside the window were wrought iron candelabra, ivy-topped ionic columns and floral urns on Corinthian columns.

Pricilla’s beauty outshone everything else.  The svelte bride wore a strapless fit-and-flare gown of brocade with sheer ruffles at the hem.  The sweetheart neckline was set off by a fingertip veil edged in pearls.  Underneath her gown the bride wore a pair of high-heeled white satin pumps with great big bows.  Priscilla’s bridesmaids wore short one-shouldered turquoise gowns with turquoise pumps as high as the brides.

Bringing youth and vitality to the ceremony was a cadre of pint-sized attendants.  They almost stole the show as they made their way down the aisle.  The girls wore clouds of white tulle with turquoise sashes, set off with large silk turquoise roses.  The male ring bearer had a white tux with a turquoise shirt.  At the reception, the kids continued to vie for the center of attention, but all eyes remained on the beautiful bride and her handsome groom as they entered the room down Ashton Garden’s curving staircase.

Ashton Gardens is perfectly suited for the use of our proprietary remote-control camera.  Those gorgeous windows which make weddings so extraordinary also leave nowhere for a cameraman to hide.  We solve that problem with our remote control technology and no one else has it.  With this camera we’re able to get close-ups of the bride during the vows without having a cameraperson in sight.

Because the large windows are combined withtile floors in the chapel the resulting echoes can affect the audio portion of our video.  That’s why we put a lapel microphone on the groom.  The words of the ceremony are recorded directly off the mic’s audio feed, so they are crystal clear in the video.  As a bonus, we get to record other snippets of conversation, like the affectionate disagreement during the first dance.

All our brides love their wedding videos and this one was particularly precious to Priscilla.  She was raised in Brazil and her family was not able to attend the wedding.  She thought it was wonderful to have a way to share her wedding day with those who were unable to be there.

Under her wedding gown Joanna wore cowboy boots. She wasn’t the only member of the wedding party who boot-scooted through the ceremony and reception.  In fact, when you watch this video closely you’ll see a perfect mix of Dallas Glamour and Old West Flavor in Joanna and Casey’s wedding at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

Elegant Ashton Gardens with its beautiful chapel and dazzling reception space provided a wonderful venue for the lovely Joanna to marry her handsome Casey.  The chapel, surrounded on three sides by windows, created a gorgeous wooded setting for the couple’s vows.  After the ceremony Joanna and Casey swept into their reception via Ashton Garden’s dramatic curved staircase.  A delicious meal was shared by all and then the dance floor filled with swirling guests.

Joanna and Casey were supported on their special day by a large wedding party – eight bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, three ushers, a ring bearer and a flower girl – all dressed with an eye to style. A unity candle in the wedding ceremony symbolized the light from these many sources being joined into a new flame.

The corset bodice of Joanna’s strapless gown fell into soft cascades of ruffles which continued all the way to the end of her train.  Around her waist a white sash was held in place by a bouquet of white satin roses. Her attendants wore short coral crepe dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.  The tan suits on the men were accessorized with brown.

For a wedding dessert Joanna served tiers of iced cupcakes.  The heart-felt toasts after dessert demonstrated how much this couple was loved and how well they’d be supported in their new life together.  At the end of the evening, the couple exited the reception under a canopy of bubbles and were whisked into the night by a black limousine.

A friend of the groom called the match back in fourth grade.  It took Lauren’s friends a little longer.  It wasn’t until Lauren packed her Louis Vitton bags for a camo-drenched hunting trip that her friends decided she was serious about Finley.  The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas.

The wedding guests knew they’d arrived at the right place when they spied the large L and F floral initials on Ashton Gardens’ Chapel doors.  The lovely Lauren was nearby in the Bride’s dressing room stepping into her strapless satin ballgown with its shirred sweetheart bodice and crystal beaded belt.  Long crystal chandelier earrings dangled from her lobes beneath a cascading tulle veil.

The candlelit evening ceremony had a mystical feel.  The chapel has windows on three sides which open to dense woods.  The candlelight reflected on the windows and made it appear as if there were fairy lights among the trees.  Along with candelabras full of flickering flames at the front of the church, the aisle was lined with votives floating in large vases of water.  A live musician provided music for the guests as they entered.

After the ceremony, Lauren and Finley, glided down Ashton Gardens gorgeous curved staircase to the enthusiastic applause of their guests.  Everyone enjoyed the delicious buffet dinner and then the bride and groom cut their cakes.  The bride’s cake had a cascade of white roses flowing down its three tiers.  The groom’s cake was a cigar box made of chocolate with white chocolate dipped strawberries all the way around.

If someone preferred real cigars, there was a cigar maker outdoors, just a few steps away.  Finley slipped away several times to enjoy the craftsman’s skills.  Though the cigar booth stayed busy, most people preferred music over smokes and enjoyed dancing to the live band.

At the evening’s end, a friend with a vintage Rolls Royce pulled up to the portico.  The guests waved balloons, streamers and pennants as Lauren and Finley climbed into the car and rode away to their new life together.

The windows which make Ashton Gardens such a lovely venue for weddings also make it impossible for a videographer to find a place to hide.  That’s why LeniCam developed our proprietary remote control camera.  For Lauren and Finley’s wedding we placed the camera inconspicuously on the stage and operated it from the balcony.  This allowed us to get close-ups of Lauren during the vows.  Another camera-person was at the back of the chapel getting the long shots.

At the reception, our videographers worked as a team to capture everything that was happening.  We promised Lauren we’d be everywhere all the time, but remain invisible to the family, friends and participants.  The bride was happy with both our video and our disappearing act.

Afternoon sun streaming into three large windows ignited the bride’s veil and set fire to the jewels in her hair.  The magical effect of Ashton Garden‘s chapel provided a perfect backdrop for Alyssa and Brian’s wedding.

This stunning bride wore a satin fit-and-flare gown with corset lacing.  A line of crystals connected a dropped-waist bodice, covered with sequin-encrusted lace, to a full skirt and train.  The bridesmaids wore short jeweled gowns of deep royal purple and their puffed skirts echoed the longer pouf of the bride’s gown.  A darling flower girl wore a long white dress with a purple overskirt, tying the bride’s color to that of her bridesmaids’.

After a touching ceremony, which included both the lighting of a unity candle and the joining of a unity cross, the couple’s family and friends watched while the formal portraits were made.  The groom’s wry humor kept everyone laughing, so the still photographer didn’t have to urge for smiles, but she did have to hurry, because the groom was hungry for the steak he’d been promised.

The guests strolled across the lovely garden to the reception, where the Grand Staircase with its glamorous crystal chandelier and wall sconces set the stage for a regal entrance by the bride and groom.  In fact, glamorous touches were everywhere.  Silver candelabras adorned the tables and toasting flutes wore crystal covered hearts.  The gorgeous cake appeared to be wrapped in lace and set with pearls.  Ashton Garden’s marble floors, floral carpets and brocade chairs completed the elegant feel of the affair.  And of course at the end of such a grand affair, the long black limousine arrived to whisk away the new wife and her husband.
