The bride seemed nonchalant about her wedding.  While the stylist worked on her hair, Claudia sat in the floor staring into her laptop.  About the only way you could tell she was getting ready for her wedding was the blue ruffled garter around her thigh.  When the chapel doors were opened it was a completely different story.  Tears of joy ran down her cheeks.  Claudia married Jared at Capella Court Gardens in Carrollton.

Before the wedding the bride’s dressing room was full of pretty girls getting ready for Claudia’s big day.  Two little girls were decked-out in white organza dresses with pink silk flowers all around the hem.  On their heads they wore circlets of white flowers with small veils.  The bridesmaids’ dresses were long and black with deep V necklines.  As lovely as they all were, no one outshone the bride in her strapless white satin gown with intricate crystal beading.

Over in the groom’s waiting room, Jared and his groomsmen gathered to prayer with the pastor.  Of course, that was after the handsome groom checked himself out in the mirror and liked what he saw.

For the ceremony in the chapel, pairs of bridesmaids and groomsmen entered down matching staircases and walked down the aisle together.  Then from between double doors at the rear, the darling flower girls preceded a young man with a banner declaring, “Here comes the Bride.”  The double doors closed after the young man with the sign and opened for the stunning bride in her gorgeous dress, which was as beautiful from the rear as it was from the front.

The stately chapel glowed with white paneling highlighted by golden touches.  White tapers flickered in golden candelabra.  As the couple’s parents’ entered the chapel they lit tapers to be used by Claudia and Jared to light their unity candle.  The nervous groom nearly stumbled at the start of the vows, but by the end, his voice was loud and clear.  The bride also vowed with commitment.  As the couple left the chapel the banner, carried by the young man, was turned over to say “Just Married.”

At the door of the reception, guests were offered fanciful lollipops and small personalized swag bags.  A delicious looking buffet offered fruits, cheese and other hors d’oeuvres.  Dominating the room was a large ice sculptured vase holding red roses.  Each layer of the towering wedding cake was banded by a strip of rhinestones.  The groom’s cake was fashioned to look like a basket full of chocolate covered fruit.  Everyone enjoyed Claudia and Jared’s wedding day.

Claudia and Jared were certainly the stars of their wedding video, but like most couples, they really enjoyed watching everyone else when they got the opportunity to see the finished product.  We get lots of group shots, so the couple can see each guest at least once in the video, but one of the reasons we arrive early is to identify the people closest to the couple.  Those are the people we make sure to highlight in the video.

Another reason we arrive early is the audio track.  We need to make sure there is a microphone available for everyone who will speak or perform during the ceremony and that we are connected to the audio feeds.  Our most connection is with the lavalier microphone attached to the groom’s lapel.  That’s what gives us a clear recording of the vows and it also gives us the inside track on the rest of the day.

Making a wedding video is more than pointing a camera towards the front of the church.  We arrive with thousands of dollars of equipment and over a decade of experience in wedding videography.  Throughout the day we are everywhere, recording everything, while remaining virtually invisible to the guests and participants.  Then we return to our studio and devote several weeks to creating a unique video the bride and groom will cherish for years to come.

No Peeking at Their First Look – Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano

The match was made in heaven, but they found each other through online dating.  Janai and Jerry were married at in the chapel at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano.

Janai likes purple, so she applied it with a liberal brushstroke to her wedding day.  Purple shoes, purple flowers – even a purple bow on her wedding cake.  Her beautiful A-line gown was white.  The ornately beaded strapless bodice with sweetheart neckline set off her sparkly accessories: a tiara, a crystal- edged veil, chandelier-styled crystal earrings and a necklace with a heart-shaped diamond pendant.  The elaborate beading continued on the skirt of the dress.  The bride carried a bouquet of mixed flowers in a myriad of purple hues and those purple shoes were high-heeled pumps with peek-a-boo toes and huge bows.

The couple wanted to share a little time together before the ceremony, but they didn’t want to tempt fate by ignoring old wedding traditions, so instead of a First Look, they held hands through a partially closed door and chatted for a while.  Jerry was more than pleased when he saw his pretty bride come down the aisle.  To symbolize the new life they were beginning, the couple lit a unity candle as a part of their ceremony.

Their reception was held a few feet away in a lovely sun-filled alcove of the church.  Each of the four tiers of their cake was decorated in a different motif and on top was a huge purple bow decorated with pearls.  When the couple cut the cake, they each took an obligatory bite, but what interested them the most was the icing.

Several single women lined up to vie for the bouquet Janai tossed.  Either all the men were already married or they were afraid to tempt fate, because only a couple of young fellows, decades away from their own weddings, were interested in catching the garter.  As the couple escaped the festivities, their guests bid them farewell with bubbles.

The actual filming of Janai and Jerry’s wedding was only a very small part of what went into the production of their video.  We spent time with Janai before the wedding so we would understand her vision for her big day, the logistics of the events and what equipment we’d need.  When it was time to go to their wedding, we loaded with all the equipment we needed into our vehicles, with back-up and extras of everything.  Then we had to be unload and set up at Prestonwood.  When filming was over, we had to put everything back into our vehicle and return it to the studio.

At ourstudio, we downloaded all the audio and video files we’d recorded at the wedding, and then we deleted everything from equipment’s memory for our next event.  We recharged every piece of equipment that was rechargeable and tested the batteries of the rest.  Only then did we put the equipment away or load it for the next event.

The next bit was the most tedious.  We watched and listened to everything we’d recorded.  We build redundancy into our filming and recording, because we want options.  Only after we knew what we had could we begin editing and mixing the material to create a unique video.  This process requires days and days of work over several weeks.

The result of this process was our demo for Janai and Jerry.  They watched the demo and gave us their edits.  This part of the process can take several passes as we work to produce the video exactly the way the couple wants it.  In this case we were the sniffle removers.  Jerry had gotten sick the day before and felt awful.  He sounded worse and our wireless microphone captured every cough and sniffle.  At the request of the couple we spent a lot of time removing every single cough and sniffle possible.  We tell our couples that no matter what happens on their wedding day – good or bad – they are going to love their wedding video.  When we were through with our edit, just as we promised, the coughs and sniffles were barely noticeable and the couple was very happy.

Finally, we produced the five videos with customized packaging and menus.  Janai and Jerry loved the final product.  Then we loaded this highlight video onto our website for friends and family to view and download.  Our final step was to put all the material on our secure server – just in case.

Decebal first held Kelsey in his arms at College Station’s Texas Hall of Fame Dancehall and now he will hold her in his heart forever.  The couple married in Cox Chapel at Highland Park United Methodist Church.

“I just love her and she’s the sweetest girl I’ve ever known,” Decebal said when asked about his bride.  Kelsey looked every bit as sweet as his declaration in the lace, satin and pearls she chose for her wedding day.  The sweetheart bodice of her strapless ball gown was covered in lace, lace embellished the satin skirt and trimmed her full length veil.  For the ceremony, Kelsey wore a long-sleeved lace bolero. Pearls set with crystals in gold gleamed in her ears and she wore a double-strand pearl necklace.  More attractive than all her wedding finery were her big blue eyes and wide smile.

Elegance was the hallmark of the day, from the beautiful ceremony in the stately Cox Chapel to the vintage Rolls Royce which transported the couple to their reception at the magnificent Crystal Ballroom of the Scottish Rite Library.  In the gorgeous ballroom, with its ornate columns and stained glass windows, their intricately decorated multi-tiered cake, emblazoned with their monogram and topped with white roses, looked right at home.

Having met through a love of dancing, it’s not surprising Kelsey and Decebal graced their wedding day with brilliant steps and spinning twirls.  Most of this highlight video is devoted to their skill on the dance floor, which suggests they will be able to dance through the rest of their life with grace – especially if their lives are filled with as many kisses as their dances.

When the night was over, Kelsey and Decebal climbed back in the Rolls Royce and headed off to their new life together.  Congratulations to Merritt Lewis of Highland Park United Methodist Church who coordinated the fabulous wedding ceremony and Kristen Dee who shot the still photography.

Kelsey and Decebal’s wedding and reception was a visual feast filled with sweet words and beautiful music.  One LeniCam videographer caught Kelsey’s tears as she read a touching card from Decebal, while another videographer captured Decebal’s emotional response to Kelsey’s sentimental gift of leather-bound love-letters.

In the chapel a camera placed at the rear of the chapel captured the overall ambiance.  Another cameraperson, hid in an alcove below the altar, to record the close-ups of Kelsey’s smiles and tears during the vows.  He had the wedding coordinator’s permission to sneak out when everyone turned to watch the bride enter, but then he had to dive back into the alcove and figure out how to get the rest of the shots he needed without being seen.

The light-footed couple hosted an energetic reception in a stunning venue.  Since they chose to have only one videographer at the reception, we used a tripod with wheels to move throughout the event to record everything, everywhere, while remaining virtually invisible to the guests and participants.  Kelsey and Decebal’s stunning footwork were captured into permanent memories on their video, shared here in their highlight video for family and friends and preserved on our secure server, just in case.

Amanda and Erin’s Fall Celebration of Love and Laughter at Ft. Worth’s Marty Leonard Chapel in Video Wedding Dallas TX

The beautiful Amanda with her striking auburn hair was perfectly complimented by the rich harvest colors chosen for her autumn wedding.  Amanda and her handsome groom, Erin, were married in Fort Worth’s unique Marty Leonard Chapel, designed by the famous architect, E. Fay Jones.  The lovely event was planned by April Coltharp of Flair Events and coordinated by Katherine Lewis of the Marty Leonard Chapel.

The fitted bodice of Amanda’s white satin ballgown combined a sweetheart neckline with crumb-catcher ruffles in an asymmetrical design, then fell into rusched gathers over a wide skirt and train.  A tulle veil and crystal jewelry completed her ensemble.

The bridesmaids wore strapless sheaths of brown satin, which echoed in the brown satin vests of the men in the wedding party.  A pair of flower girls wore white dresses with large satin sashes, and a pair of ring bearers toting moss-covered cushions, completed the wedding party.

The bride and groom were giddy with joy and the officiant kept them laughing throughout their wedding.  More chuckles were heard when an older couple offered their advice as part of the ceremony.  A more tender part of the ritual was the lighting of the unity candle.  Using two tapers to light the unity candle, Amanda acknowledged both of her parents and their new spouces.

Later, the bride and groom boogied into the reception at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Fort Worth.  Transitioning into a formal First Dance, Erin tried to put a few moves on his new wife – but she told him to ‘save it,’ renewing the generous laughter which filed their wedding ceremony.  The same eye to detail which had coordinated the wedding’s flowers with the bride’s hair could be seen in the wedding cake traced with curlicue leaves and vines.  The groom’s cake sported a Star Wars theme.

At the end of the reception, the new husband and wife only had to make their way to a room in the Omni, so their guests showered the couple with streamers as they came down the escalator and turn to offer one final fond farewell.

A bride takes a lot of time planning the minute details of her wedding, then on the day of the ceremony, it’s impossible for her to actually experience what she’s created.  A wedding video from LeniCam can turn back time and let her see the day from every angle.  Our DVD allowed Amanda to enjoy the live guitarist entertaining her guests before the ceremony, even though during the actual event, she was dressing in another part of the chapel.  The guitarist’s music is woven throughout the video to provide a fitting background for Amanda and Eric’s wedding memories.
