Claudia and Jared at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Bent Tree Country Club

“It’s almost time,” Claudia said as she sat before a fireplace waiting for her wedding ceremony to begin.  Elsewhere in the church Jared enumerated all the things he loved about his bride.  Claudia and Jared were married at the beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in the historic Lakewood area of Dallas.  Their reception was held at elegant Bent Tree Country Club.

Claudia and Jared’s wedding day was a miracle of logistics coordinated by wedding planner Colleen Harkins.  The first vendor to report for duty was hair and make-up artist Brittany Jones.  She helped Claudia get ready at the bride’s parents’ house, while the guys dressed at the country club.  Then Romantic Remembrances conveyed the bridal party to the church in a limousine and the groom’s party in a bus.

Upon arrival at the church the wedding party was adorned by glorious floral arrangements from Garden Gate – bouquet and corsages for the ladies and boutonnieres for the men.  The florist provided arrangements for the pew ends, as well.  Meanwhile, Christopher Walker of Christographer  ( Formerly Lucky Pro Photography) captured the still shots while we were shooting audio and video.

At the appointed hour, the music of St. Thomas Acquinas’ legendary pipe organ filled the air as the father-of-the- bride walked Claudia down the aisle of the magnificent church.  Claudia looked stunning in a strapless, shirred-satin, fit-an-flare gown with crystal accents at the empire waist and just above the knee.  As Jared escorted her to the altar he couldn’t resist telling her how lovely she looked.

After the wedding, guests headed to Bentree for cocktail hour where other vendors had everything ready.  Linen Hero provided the table and chair covers, Absolute Entertainment set up the lighting and a Creative Events had a photo booth waiting.  Meanwhile Christopher took the post-wedding photographs.  Then Romantic Remembrances transported the couple, the bridal party and their families to the country club.

A little Italian flavor entered the celebrations after the wedding party was announced by the Ice House Band.  For the First Dance the bride and groom swayed to the sounds of Al Martino singing “I Have But One Heart.”  The Italian flavor continued as Claudia danced with her dad to the “Godfather Waltz.”

After Jared danced with his mother to “What a Wonderful Life,” the bride and groom finally got a chance to relax and enjoy dinner.  After dinner they slipped away for a wardrobe change.  This time Claudia had on a smooth satin shirtwaist dress with short, full skirt, accented with a sequined belt.  Now she could really enjoy the high energy sounds of the live band.

When the celebration were over, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, the garter toss and all the dancing, Claudia departed the country club through rows of sparklers and rode away in a vintage Daimler to Hotel ZaZa where their honeymoon suite awaited.

Two Lenicam videographers arrived at Claudia and Jared’s wedding an hour and a half before the ceremony.  There’s a lot to set up to properly capture a wedding.  We had videocamers, tripods, lights and audio equipment to manage.  We also took the opportunity to coordinate with the other vendors and the church’s wedding coordinator, so things will go smoothly during the day.

One of the cameras we set up was our custom-designed proprietary camera with remote control.  This one-of-a-kind equipment allows us to have a camera recording at the front of the church.  Because no other Dallas Wedding Videographer else has this equipment, we are the only ones who can get footage at the front of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Once everything was in place the cameramen split up to capture the pre-wedding activities, so later Claudia and Jared could enjoy watching the first part of each other’s wedding day together.  For the ceremony, one videographer stood at the back of the church for shots from the audience’s point of view, while another camera was hidden out of site near the front to get the close-ups during the ceremony.

After the ceremony, one camera leap-frogged ahead to the reception, while the other stayed behind to capture the fun of the photo shoot.  After the photos the second cameraman joined the reception.  With two cameras at the reception, we were able to keep one camera focused on the bride and groom, while the other camera went around and captured well-wishes from the guests.

When the night is over, we take all the audio and video footage back to our studio to create a wedding video for the couple, their family and their friends to enjoy for all the days of their marriage.

The groom was very nonchalant about the prospect of getting married until he saw his bride and then tears of joy began to flow.  David and his groomsmen arrived at Willow Bend Church in a long stretch Hummer and the antics began.  A much more sedate Kelly arrived in a black stretch limousine.  Kelly and David were married at  the church he attended, Willow Bend Church in Plano.

Kelly looked lovely in her lace gown with a Queen Anne neckline and buttons down the back.  Her tulle fingertip veil was edged with beaded lace.  She carried a bright red bouquet of roses, amaryllis, anemones and peonies.  The church was awash in poinsettias which lent a festive air to the ceremony.

As if the sight of his beautiful bride was not enough to bring tears to the groom, the father-of-the-bride made a charge to David which was pretty daunting.  “Love her with all your heart, buddy,” Dad said.  David answered, “Will do.”

Photographer Susan Gilbert made the post-ceremony photo session a lot of fun with her creative poses.   Then everyone headed to Glen Eagles Country Club for the reception where sweet-toothed guests had plenty to keep them occupied.  The multi-tiered wedding cake looked as if it were covered in fresh snow on which ice crystals were beginning to form.  A chocolate fondant limb grew up the side of the cake sprouting red fondant poinsettias.  Also on hand were delicious Christmas Sugar Cookies home-baked by Kelly and David’s friends and family.

The dance floor was a hive of activity.  The guests filled the floor for an energetic  line dance.  Then Kelly led them in a conga line.  The bride changed into street clothes, but stopped by the dance floor for some air guitar action before grabbing her groom and heading outside.  The guests showered the couple with faux snow which looked very, very real as the flurries swirled around the bride and groom.

To set the mood for Kelly and David’s wedding, candles were the only lighting in the church.  The only other light came from the hall.  The shadowy church worked to our advantage from one standpoint, because it allowed our cameraman to be invisible as he stood in the front of the church.  At the same time, the darkness creating a shadowy bride.  Our experience with this sort of setting allowed us to know what settings to use to compensate for the darkness and show the bride’s lovely face.

Another trick we’ve developed over the years is the use of a lapel microphone on the groom.  When we started using the technology the goal was to get a clear audio recording of the vows.  What we discovered is that we’re also able to get precious whispered sentiments that the PA system or a hand-held mic would miss.  That’s how the viewer knows what the father of the bride said to David as the ceremony began.

Another thing we’re proud of is the professional studio where we took all the audio and video we recorded at Kelly and David’s wedding.  Over a period of weeks we edited and mixed these recordings to create a unique video Kelly and David can enjoy all the days of their marriage.

With a name like Paradise Cove, you’d expect a venue to be heavenly.  Add fireworks and you’ve got a very spectacular wedding.  Melissa and Brian were married at Paradise Cove in Southlake.

The bride and groom began their day with a private First Look.  Melissa was stunning in her lace gown glistening with crystals.  The Queen Anne neckline with cap sleeves showcased an intricate crystal necklace with matching earrings.  The gown opened to a keyhole in back.  Brian couldn’t resist dipping his bride into a kiss.

The open air chapel surrounded by a natural landscape created a beautiful backdrop for their touching ceremony.  A breeze lifted Melissa lace-trimmed veil and frolicked among bushes of red roses, but nothing could distract the bride’s intense gaze from the face of her beloved.  An enthusiastic embrace sealed the vows.

After the ceremony, everyone moved to the Grand Hall for a fun-filled reception.  A small cake was used for the formal cake-cutting, because the guests had their choice of delicious-looking cupcakes in a variety of flavors.  Though the cake was small it provided plenty of icing for a little face painting.

The DJ kept the dance floor hopping and a huge patio was used for events like the bouquet and garter tosses.  When darkness settled, the bride and groom led their guests out to the patio for the highlight of the evening – a fireworks display.  Then the energetic couple took to the dance floor.  At the end of the night, the bride and groom escaped to their waiting limo and drove off into their future.

That little breeze during the ceremony, which lifted the bride’s veil and frolicked in the roses, could have also ruined the audio portion of Melissa and Brian’s video.  That’s the reason LeniCam used more than one audio feed to record the wedding.  Weput a mic on the officiant, put a lapel microphone on the groom and also used the microphones on our camera.  By editing and mixing these feeds with the video, we were able to minimize the whistling wind and capture the words of Melissa and Brian’s vows.

The gorgeous fireworks display was another portion of the video which required careful editing.  It was the most exciting part of the day and many things were happening at once.  Adjusting our lenses to capture both the scene on the dark patio and the bright fireworks in the distance required all the experience we’ve gathered over the years.  At the same time, we capture the groom’s comments, with the crowd’s appreciative exclamations and the explosions.  The results are a beautiful video Melissa and Brian will cherish all the days of their marriage.

 Kathy and Randy Tie the Knot at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Mansfield 

Kathy and Randy almost didn’t meet on Match.com.  Both were at the end of disappointing trial periods, when at the suggestion of her son-in-law, Kathy made one small change to her profile.  By widening her geographic area, Match.com connected her with Randy and the rest is a charming love story. Kathy and Randy were married in a touching evening service at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church in Mansfield.

The perky mature bride chose a strapless gown of silk brocade with an empire waist set off with rhinestones.  The dress was softly shirred through the torso and fell into a short train.  Underneath were sparkly sandals which matched her rhinestone headband.  Her bridesmaids wore long, red, A-line dresses of chiffon, with sequined floral accents across the bodice, which matched red silk ties on the groomsmen.   The bridesmaids carried nosegays of roses in the warm colors of red and coral.  Kathy’s bouquet was made of the same roses, with white roses added.  A pair of flower girls completed the bridal party.

The stage for Kathy and Randy’s wedding, set with fluted columns draped in sheers and topped with flowers, created a dramatic effect.  According to the bride’s “Woohoo,” and double fist pump, so did Randy’s kiss.

The warm colors of the floral bouquets were echoed in the deep pink decorations of the reception, which was held in the church’s fellowship hall.  Guest enjoyed a buffet of hors d’oeuvres and a beautiful tiered cake covered with swirls and dots and lines, and decorated with a small bunch of red roses. After the audience sang Happy Birthday to the bride, she pronounced it “The best birthday ever. As Kathy and Randy’s special evening came to a close, guests bade them farewell with bubbles.  Then the new husband and wife rode away in a black limousine.

During the wedding Randy wore a lavalier microphone to capture the words shared between the bride and groom.  Other mics were used to pick up other audio feeds throughout the day.  When the demo tape was made for the couple, the editor faced a tough choice.  There was an excellent tape of the wedding’s special music and the couple’s whispered sentiments during the song were very sweet.  So we asked the couple to decide which they wanted on the video and they wanted both.  We were able to create the video with two audio options on the same Blue Ray disc.  Now Randy and Kathy can enjoy both versions of the video with just the push of a button.

We decided to have a very small church wedding of about 125 of our closest friends and family members. The motto we selected was simple but elegant and we wanted the evening to be a tribute to God, who brought us together.

Selecting someone to capture our evening on video was going to be a difficult chore as in a previous job I was over our video production unit, which produced a monthly cable television show. Naturally, I was going to be overly selective about who we used for this..

After an exhaustive review of video production companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we narrowed our search to three top notch firms, one of which was LeniCam Productions.

I must say that John at LeniCam, was the most flexible and creative person of all that I dealt with. We had great two-way communication and as a result we were able to modify a package to completely suit our requirements. John was always eager to listen and adjust to our needs.

We have watched the video many times and each time we catch something different we didn’t see before. Additionally, I had booked a trio of violinists to play contemporary music for the reception and John placed a recorder near them to capture the entire evening’s music.He would later put much of the music on the soundtrack of our video. It gave the entire production a nice element of class.

Since I thought I would like to do some selective work of my own on our wedding, LeniCam Productions even allowed me to provide a new hard disk and they downloaded all the audio/video footage from our wedding to use for my own purposes later own. This is just another example of how John caters to his clients.

The quaint stone church of St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican sat quietly in its wooded setting until Kenny and his groomsmen climbed out of a long Hummer limousine.  “Yes! Let’s do it!” Kenny announced eagerly.  His lovely bride was nearby in her fit-and-flare gown of tulle and satin, with wide lace straps and a sweetheart neckline.  Her jewelry sparkled with crystals and she carried a bouquet of purple and white flowers.

Kenny and Amara’s day was filled with Nigerian traditions, beginning with the bright geles and filos (headdresses) bubas (tops), iro (skirts) and kabas (caftans) worn by the guests.  Each family was represented by a different hue, creating a rainbow of color.

After coming down the aisle, Amara kept her veil over her face and modestly averted her eyes from her groom.  When the minister declared them man and wife, the veil was lifted and the couple shared an enthusiastic embrace. Then the couple sat on a pew as the men of the congregation danced around them, putting monetary gifts into a large brass pot. Afterwards the couple returned to the altar for communion.

Formalities over, the wedding party noisily posed for photographer Edward Ramairez and then headed to the Hilton.  Amara and Kenny danced into the reception with wide smiles.  The smiles remained as they serenaded one other during their First Dance.

The wedding cake, a tower of square layers, was decorated with flourishes of green icing and flowers of purple.  The groom’s cake showed homage to Kenny’s love of soccer.  The couple’s single friends were eager to join the ranks of married couples and battled for the bouquet and garter when they were tossed.

Soon the dance floor was full of guests in their rainbow of cultural clothing vying for the opportunity to shower the newly married couple with paper money.  The festivities continued long into the night with great joy and vigor.

Amara and Kenny’s wedding, with its sea of colorful headdresses and charming Nigerian traditions, was fun to capture. Our microphones were planted in a variety of locations and our videographer scrambled to be everywhere, all day long, so every detail could be preserved.

One of our favorite moments of the day was the First Dance, when Amara and Kenny, with no regard for pitch or melody, belted out their song to one another.  Tender moments like that are our reward for putting a lapel mic the groom before the ceremony and leaving it there until the end of the evening.

When the wedding day was over, we returned to our studio with all the audio and video recordings.  Over the next few weeks, we edited and mixed the bits and pieces, until we created a video which would help Amara and Kenny keep their wedding memories fresh throughout all the days of their marriage.

On the SMU campus, rain fell on bright yellow daffodils, bedecking them with jewel-like droplets.  In a room nearby, a bride stepped into her wedding gown.  Her attendants wore yellow chiffon dresses, every bit as bright as the daffodils outside.  Branches of yellow forsythia filled vases inside the chapel.  White roses in the bride’s bouquet surrounded a splash of yellow peonies.  The bridesmaids carried fresh nosegays of white daisies.  Spring arrived at Perkins Chapel on Kelly and Ben’s wedding day and Videography Wedding Dallas TX proves it..

Joy, as noticeable as the spring shower outside, permeated the chapel.  Ben’s tuxedo-clad groomsmen ducked into the vestibule shaking off the damp.  Nearby, Kelly waited for her cue.  She looked stunning in her strapless white sheath, encased in a sleeveless lace overdress.  Her radiant smile outshone the crystal chandelier earrings dangling from her lobes.

The large wedding party formed two rows at the front of the chapel as grand music from the pipe organ filled the air.  Kelly entered the chapel and walked down the aisle to Ben.  He’d known she was the one for him ever since their first date.  In fact, he was still wondering why he waited three days to call her, once he had her number.

As Kelly’s father gave his daughter away, he told Ben to “Love her always.”  After readings of poetry and scripture, The Lord’s Prayer was sung by a talented vocalist.  The ceremony included a unique floral ritual where the bride and groom added flowers to vase, symbolizing their lives being joined together.  The sincerity of the couple could be seen on their faces as they made their vows to love one another forever.

After the ceremony, Kelly gathered her dress into her arms and huddled under an umbrella with Ben as they made their way to the waiting limousine.  The simple act seemed to suggest that together  this couple could face whatever life rained down on them.

We tell brides that no matter what happens on their wedding day, good and bad, they are going to love their wedding video.  Instead of trying to hide the rainy weather, our LeniCam videographer included the spring shower, making it a highlight of the day.  The raindrops on the daffodils intensify the sunshine-like effect of the yellow chiffon dresses and yellow floral displays Kelly chose for her wedding.  When Kelly’s mother watched the video for the first time, it was the couple’s walk in the rain, together under one umbrella, which brought tears to her eyes.

During the wedding we captured everything around us.  A videocamera was only one of our tools.  We also used a variety of microphones and audio feeds to record the sounds of the day.  Rain falling, a father’s whispered words and flourishes of magnificent music were just as important as wedding dresses, flowers and tuxedos.

At the end of the day our job had just begun.  We took the recorded material back to our studio and went over it time and time again.  We sifted through every frame, mixing the video and audio, to create a video which represented the overall experience of the day, along with the visual and audio details.  We created Kelly and Ben’s unique wedding video to preserve the moments of their special day for enjoyment throughout their life together.

Under her wedding gown Joanna wore cowboy boots. She wasn’t the only member of the wedding party who boot-scooted through the ceremony and reception.  In fact, when you watch this video closely you’ll see a perfect mix of Dallas Glamour and Old West Flavor in Joanna and Casey’s wedding at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

Elegant Ashton Gardens with its beautiful chapel and dazzling reception space provided a wonderful venue for the lovely Joanna to marry her handsome Casey.  The chapel, surrounded on three sides by windows, created a gorgeous wooded setting for the couple’s vows.  After the ceremony Joanna and Casey swept into their reception via Ashton Garden’s dramatic curved staircase.  A delicious meal was shared by all and then the dance floor filled with swirling guests.

Joanna and Casey were supported on their special day by a large wedding party – eight bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, three ushers, a ring bearer and a flower girl – all dressed with an eye to style. A unity candle in the wedding ceremony symbolized the light from these many sources being joined into a new flame.

The corset bodice of Joanna’s strapless gown fell into soft cascades of ruffles which continued all the way to the end of her train.  Around her waist a white sash was held in place by a bouquet of white satin roses. Her attendants wore short coral crepe dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.  The tan suits on the men were accessorized with brown.

For a wedding dessert Joanna served tiers of iced cupcakes.  The heart-felt toasts after dessert demonstrated how much this couple was loved and how well they’d be supported in their new life together.  At the end of the evening, the couple exited the reception under a canopy of bubbles and were whisked into the night by a black limousine.

When Webb joined Bree’s study group, he wanted to improve his calculus grade.  He didn’t realize he was also going to improve his love life.  Bree and Webb were married at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas’ beautiful Preston Hollow area and were captured by videographer for Dallas wedding.

Christ the King is a stunning venue for a wedding.  The colorful stained glass windows, marble parquet floors and elaborate chandeliers, with their triple-crown motif, provide an elegant backdrop for nuptials.  Wedding coordinator, Colleen Harkins, produced a polished event.

The lovely bride with her winning smile and big brown eyes was even more stunning than the setting of her wedding.  Her beautiful jewel encrusted gown was fit for a princess.  In this highlights video we see Bree in a t-shirt coming to the church with her gown over her arm.  Then she is transformed by the ornate gown with its corset lacing and magnificent gown.

The formal Catholic ceremony with its readings and communion service was complimented by its regal surroundings.  A string quartet playing classical music completed the opulent tone of the wedding.  After the ceremony, the newly married couple climbed into a sleek black limousine.

A resplendent wedding like Bree and Webb’s is made up of many parts and on the day of the event it would be impossible for any spectator to take in all aspects.  LeniCam videographers worked as a team to capture all the parts making a seamless whole, which could be enjoyed long into the future.  We arrived early to capture the bride as she arrived.  We got exterior shots of the venue, so viewers of the video can remember all the magnificent details. We recorded from various angles so you could see the entire wedding party, as well as the bride’s face as she pledged her love to her groom.

For a wedding video, sounds are as important as the visual aspects.  Vidographer for Dallas wedding uses special noise-reducing, wireless microphones to pick up a variety of audio feeds.  Then back at our studios we weave the audio portions in to the video footage, pulling together a video that encompasses more of the wedding than any guest was able to enjoy.

Afternoon sun streaming into three large windows ignited the bride’s veil and set fire to the jewels in her hair.  The magical effect of Ashton Garden‘s chapel provided a perfect backdrop for Alyssa and Brian’s wedding.

This stunning bride wore a satin fit-and-flare gown with corset lacing.  A line of crystals connected a dropped-waist bodice, covered with sequin-encrusted lace, to a full skirt and train.  The bridesmaids wore short jeweled gowns of deep royal purple and their puffed skirts echoed the longer pouf of the bride’s gown.  A darling flower girl wore a long white dress with a purple overskirt, tying the bride’s color to that of her bridesmaids’.

After a touching ceremony, which included both the lighting of a unity candle and the joining of a unity cross, the couple’s family and friends watched while the formal portraits were made.  The groom’s wry humor kept everyone laughing, so the still photographer didn’t have to urge for smiles, but she did have to hurry, because the groom was hungry for the steak he’d been promised.

The guests strolled across the lovely garden to the reception, where the Grand Staircase with its glamorous crystal chandelier and wall sconces set the stage for a regal entrance by the bride and groom.  In fact, glamorous touches were everywhere.  Silver candelabras adorned the tables and toasting flutes wore crystal covered hearts.  The gorgeous cake appeared to be wrapped in lace and set with pearls.  Ashton Garden’s marble floors, floral carpets and brocade chairs completed the elegant feel of the affair.  And of course at the end of such a grand affair, the long black limousine arrived to whisk away the new wife and her husband.

We recognize special moments and through the magic of technology produce a video which weaves the best of the day into a spellbinding experience.  The bright sunlight which ignited Alyssa’s veil and jewels also forced most of the audience to squint through the ceremony.  Our video captures only the enchantment.

Intimate moments during the couple’s vows include every sweet expression of the bride. These shots are made with a remote camera operated by a cameraman, outside the audience’s line of sight.  Our cameras caught the day’s images and a small wireless microphone on the groom also captured words and phrases which will be cherished long into the future.
