Wedding at Paradise Cove in Grapevine

Samantha & Charles’ Wedding and Reception

Charles entered Samantha’s life as the “hot guy next door” who mowed the lawn “shirtless”. He was eighteen and it didn’t take him long to ask her out. On their first date he promised to love her forever IF she would feed him fries while he drove them home. Samantha fed him those fries and six years later, Charles sealed his promise to her with his wedding vows. Their wedding and reception were at Paradise Cove in Grapevine .

For her wedding day, the lovely bride chose a strapless, gem-studded, lace-covered, fit-and-flare gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her finger-tip veil was trimmed in lace. She wore her beautiful, long, dark hair down around her shoulders which enhanced her dark eyes and white wedding ensemble. At her waist was a satin bow, held in place with a sparkling brooch. Her bridal bouquet was formed from white roses.

The couple spent a few moments together before the ceremony. They held hands around a wall and shared words. Charles had to wait until the ceremony to see his bride, however. The couple’s dog, dressed in a tuxedo was allowed to pass freely between them and was photographed with the bridal party and the groomsmen.

Samantha chose soft pink and deep purple as the colors for her special day. Her bridesmaids wore dresses of deep purple in several different styles. They carried bouquets of pink roses which matched the pink rose boutonnieres on the groom and his attendants. The gentlemen’s ties matched the bridesmaids’ purple dresses, as did balls of flowers hanging from the white chairs lined up for the guests. The aisles were spread with pink petals.

Preceding the bride down the aisle was a darling flower girl and a charming ringbearer. The flower girl’s dress featured a long pink tutu skirt and was paired with a pink cardigan. The ringbearer was dressed like the groomsmen. Then Samantha came down the aisle on the arm of her

Charles’ vows included the French fry story. Samantha was so overwhelmed by what he said that she was awash with tears and could barely read her own vows. Charles took the tear-stained paper where Samantha’s vows were written and tucked them in his pocket to keep.

As guests entered the reception they were asked to sign their name to a wedding tree and then leave a green fingerprint for the couple’s wedding keepsake. White bunting surrounded the dance floor where the couple shared their first dance and then danced with their parents.

Toasts were shared and the couple cut their cake – a white confection of lacy tiers separated by mounds of pink roses. As the couple enjoyed their dinner Charles told his bride with a great satisfaction, “Well, I’m married to you and that’s all that matters.”

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions – Dallas Wedding Videographers

The day of Samantha and Charles wedding was beautiful and breezy. You could see the wind blowing Samantha’s long hair and fingertip veil. However, you don’t hear wind in the video, because LeniCam used multiple wireless and hand-held microphones to record the ceremony. The microphones on the videocameras are designed to pick up ambient sounds, like the breeze blowing, birds singing and guests sneezing. By recording the ceremony with other mics, we had clear audio to mix into the video during the editing process.

We used two cameras to record the ceremony. One was at the back of the outdoor chapel to record the wedding from the audience’s point of view. The second camera, on a special proprietary tripod, custom-designed by LeniCam, was hidden behind the bushes at the front of the chapel. The tripod elevated the camera over the bushes to capture close-ups of the couple during the vows.

Anna and Ben’s Wedding on Dallas Wedding Videography

Lovely Afternoon Ceremony and Reception at Dallas Arboretum

Anna and Ben chose the beautiful Dallas Arboretum for their May wedding. The bright sunshine-filled day melted away into a warm Texas night full of music and laughter as family and friends celebrated the joyous occasion.

The graceful bride was a former Miss Texarkana. In her sleek trumpet gown was lovelier than the blooms in the glorious garden. Her strapless satin gown with its straight neckline hugged her sleek profile. Her tiny waist was highlighted by a satin ribbon with a crystal buckle. The tulle veil, trimmed in scalloped lace, fell to the same length as the cathedral train of her gown. She carried a large bouquet of pastel peonies.

Anna and her bridal party waited for the ceremony in the shade of a graceful arbor. As she approached her groom, she passed the reflecting infinity pool in A Women’s Garden, where it seemed the statue of the contemplative female turned to admire the bride. Across the lawn, Ben waited with the minister and the base of cascading fountains. Live strings were playing.

The emotional impact of the vows ruffled the bride, who had seemed so serene just moments before. She tripped over words and struggled to remember phrases, until she turned to Ben, who was sending her encouragement with his smile.

When the ceremony was over both the bride and groom relaxed, playfully bantering back and forth as the photographer put them through their paces. Then everyone congregated in a nearby courtyard, next to the Loggia for the energetic reception with live band and photo booth.

The wedding cake was a multi-tiered confection, surrounded by real peonies, trimmed with pink ribbon and topped off with hand-crafted sugar peonies. After cutting the cake and feeding each other a bite, the couple moved to the dance floor for their first dance and dances with their parents. After the formal spotlight dances were through, the band, Tenacity, warmed up the crowd and everyone came to the dance floor. Laura Schhindler of L’events (link) produced an outstanding event.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

Anna and Ben’s outdoor wedding was a lot of fun and we had to utilize many of our videography skills. Take the bright sunshine for instance. While it made for a splendid wedding, it also created a situation in which Anna could have disappear into a shiny white blur – if our videographers hadn’t known exactly how to record the scene. Then after the sunset, there was the opposite problem and without the proper lighting, instead of happy figures rocking out to the sounds of the band, all that viewers would be able to see is dark shadows. During this video we can appreciate Anna’s warm smile, during the ceremony and on the dance floor.

We also had to take special care to get the audio right. Since the couple stood right in front of the cascading fountains during the ceremony, the words of their vows could have been lost in the sounds of water. We put a wireless microphone onto the groom to get every precious word of their vows, as well as the light-hearted banter during the photos.

Two sets of microphones were used to capture the sounds of the live strings. On the video there is no hint of the wind or the water.

“Do you have a drone?” It’s a question we’ve been hearing a lot of lately. Drones are in the news and many videographers and photographers are touting expensive packages which include their use. Is this a good way to spend your wedding dollars?

Getting the Bird’s Eye View

Unlike many videography companies, LeniCam is a full-time video production service which produces videos for many types of occasions, events and purposes. While weddings are the heart of our business, we find synergistic connections in all of our work.

As our founder, John Lenihan, trotted along the sidelines of sporting events recording footage, he wished for a way to get his videocamera up over the heads of the crowd. Coaches, parents and relief players with their toes on the out-of-bounds line made his job very difficult.

Since John is an engineer, by training and mindset, he soon put these skills to work, figuring out a solution. It is pretty easy to get a still camera over the heads of a crowd. All you have to do is lift it up there with your arm. You see a lot of photographers doing that. A professional grade videocamera is a lot heavier, so John developed an extra-tall tripod to hold the camera in place.

The camera was up up in the air, but we couldn’t see what was being recorded. We needed to be able to follow the action and make necessary adjustments to the camera. John solved those problems, too, with a remote control and remote viewing glasses. We’ve been using this proprietary technology for years.

Do You Really Need a Drone?

Before drones were the sexy new ask, we’d been capturing special wedding shots from our unique camera for a variety of purposes. For instance, many Indian weddings feature a vigorous dance competition between the men and the women. The crowd is so excited by these events there’s no room for a videographer at the edge of the dance floor. That’s fine. We set up our cameras at the back of the crowd and video from above. We get a great perspective of the dance and wonderful closeups of the faces both on the stage and in the crowd.

By using this technology, we’re able to get the shots a drone would get and in some cases do it better. Drones come with their own set of problems. They can be distracting. There are air spaces where they’re not allowed. Weather conditions can prohibit their use. Footage taken with a drone can be shaky or out of focus. None of these challenges arise with our sky-high remote camera.

You want a drone? You can get a drone – but its going to cost you. Contact us to discuss using our sky-high technology for your wedding.

Heather and Jacob’s Ceremony and Reception in Dallas Wedding Videos

Heather and Jacob at Chandler’s Gardens in Celina, Texas

In a quiet glade, among tall trees, guests listened to crickets chirping and breezes sighing as they waited for a wedding ceremony to begin. Jacob was nervously awaiting his bride in his place next to the minister. The laughing and jokes from moments ago had disappeared Heather appeared on her father’s arm and Jacob broke into a smile. Heather and Jacob were married at Chandler’s Gardens in Celina, Texas.

Before the wedding, Heather sat patiently as her long brown tresses were urged into a cascade of curls. Then she slipped into a sleeveless lace wedding gown with a scoop neckline and a beaded empire waistline. The lace ended in scallops at the hemline and spread out into a train. A finger-tip length tulle veil was trimmed in opalescent beads and crystals.

The bride’s bouquet was made of green hydrangeas accented with fragrant white blossoms. She wore white lace platform pumps with a peek-a-boo toe and large bow. The high heels made it difficult to maneuver the uneven ground, so she was glad she was on the steadfast arm of her father as she entered the woodland glade. As the father stepped up to the rustic wooden arch where the groom waited, the minister asked who was giving the bride in marriage. With tears breaking his voice, the father replied, “With the Lord Jesus’s help, my wife and I.”

The sweet ceremony continued as the bride and groom promised their love to one another and exchanged rings. They also poured different colors of sand from separate bottles into a single vessel, to symbolize the mixing of their two lives. The couple held hands as they shared their first kiss as man and wife. You could tell that Jacob would have thrown his arms around Heather if not for the hands of his demure bride. His arm provided the support she needed to negotiate her way back down the aisle.
A fun-filled reception with a buffet of Spring Creek Barbeque was held in a white tent. As the guests entered they wrote messages to the couple on small white hearts which were then slipped into a keepsake frame. After the barbeque buffet, the wedding dessert was a tower of cupcakes. The crowd enjoyed the cake cutting, bouquet toss and garter toss. The couple topped off the evening by opening the generous, thoughtful gifts of their guests.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions – Dallas Wedding Videos

We love outdoor weddings, especially in a lovely wooded setting like Chandler’s Gardens. The charming sounds which accented the woodland glade were just right for the guests at the wedding. On a video the crickets, breeze and other natural sounds would have been distracting.

That’s why we put a wireless microphone on Jacob and the minister. These microphones picked up the important words being said while the microphone on our camera picked up the ambient noises. Back in our studio we were able to edit and mix the sounds to create the pleasant audio experience of the wedding in the couple’s wedding video.

Mary and Scott – Outdoor Ceremony at the Worthington Renaissance in Ft. Worth

Wedding Videographers Dallas TX Produces Ft. Worth Wedding Video

“I’m so excited this day has finally come,” Mary said, “I’m so proud and honored to become a Casler and to be married to the best man in the world.” Mary and Scott were married in an outdoor ceremony at the Worthington Renaissance in Fort Worth.

The beautiful bride chose a unique, trumpet-styled strapless gown of rusched tulle, with a sweetheart neckline and sequined belt. After hugging her torso, the dress flared out dramatically in an asymmetrical cloud of tulle ruffles. Her bridesmaids wore long soft dresses of chiffon. The rusched empire bodice was white with a red skirt.

For the ceremony, the hotel’s red-brick terrace was transformed into an open air chapel, with red lace luminaries lining the aisle and flowing white drapes surrounding the stage. Mary’s dad escorted her out of the hotel and down the aisle where he presented her to Scott. Both the bride and groom had tears in their eyes during their vows. Their joy was apparent when the officiant declared them man and wife.

The reception was held inside the Worthington. After the solo dances, Mary and Scott cut their gorgeous cake. The tiers alternated between white and red and were decorated with large red blooms. As the couple fed one another the first bites, Mary tricked Scott into getting a face full of icing. The groom’s cake was devoted to the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Mary and Scott were giddy with joy as they checked out their photo booth and participated in wedding traditions like tossing the bouquet and garter. At the end of the evening, the couple paused to thank everyone for coming and to let grandma and grandpa know that Scott did show up for the wedding.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions, Wedding Videographers Dallas TX

Mary and Scott were so concerned about staying within their wedding budget that they only contracted with us for one camera and only at the ceremony. We understand budgets and we work hard to produce high quality cinemagraphic videos whatever the financial constraints might be. Even with just one videographer, we knew our experience in filming and editing would allow us to create a beautiful video of the ceremony which would look as if it were recorded from a variety of vantage points.

Still, as Mary’s wedding day approached, she realized that she really wanted to have video of her reception also. After discussing the logistics of her wedding day and her budget we were able to put together a unique package just for her that included filming a portion of the reception. Mary optimized the reception schedule so we could film the events most important to her. The final video was a win-win situation for all of us.

A Country Wedding on a Family Farm in videos Wedding Dallas

Brooke and Eland – A Wedding in the Country

The chapel’s ceiling was a blue sky. The floor a carpet of green grass. Guests sat on hay bales, shading their eyes with fans. Brooke and Eland were married on Brooke’s family farm outside Gainesville, Texas.

Brooke took great pains to comply with bridal traditions. Her something old was her grandma’s diamond necklace. For something new, she and her fiancé bought matching green cowboy boots. Stud earrings fulfilled the need for something blue. In her boot was a penny from her father marked with the year she was born. She looked lovely in her strapless, drop-waisted ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and ruffled skirt.

Since Green is Eland’s last name, Brooke chose the color green for her wedding. Along with his green boots, Eland wore a bright green shirt. The green grass was complimented by balls of green flowers hanging at the end of each row of hay bales. In Brooke’s bouquet of calla lilies the foliage stood out green against the white flowers and her white dress.

With a nod to their farmland heritage Brooke and Eland participated in a knot tying ceremony during their vows. Each of them took a length of rope and they tied the pieces together. The minister explained the ropes represented the couple’s lives before the ceremony and that from now on, the ropes would act as one and could not be separated.

After a flurry of photographs everyone moseyed over to the reception where a pair of beautiful cakes waited. The groom’s cake was chocolate and the wedding cake stood three layers tall. Each layer of the wedding cake was covered in lacy patterns of white icing and calla lilies cascaded down the side.

The couple cut the first piece of their cake together. When Brooke picked up the first piece to feed to Eland, a look of mischief crossed her face. Eland realized he was in trouble, so he began to run. The couple’s laughter assured everyone that the food fight was all in fun. Soon the couple was dancing on the green lawn.

As the day drew to a close, Brooke and Eland ran through showers of birdseed tossed at them from their guests. Then they climbed into a pick-up truck and rode off into the sunset.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

We love outdoor weddings like Brooke and Eland’s, even if they require us to work a little harder. We know all the lighting adjustments we’ll make during the filming and all the sound editing in the studio will result in a memorable wedding video. And since outdoor venues are always more spread out than indoor venues, we also get a lot of good exercise.

At an indoor wedding, the lights may be too bright or too low, but once we’ve adjusted our cameras to compensate for the situation, we know we’ll have great footage. At this outdoor wedding we were adjusting for the lighting all the time. The sun was at one position when we set up our equipment, and when the ceremony started, it had moved. Then there are segments where the bride and groom move from one place to another, passing through both open and shaded areas. Our settings had to change as they moved from light to dark and then back into the light. Faces can also be hard to capture in sunlight, but our many years of experience have taught us just how to get great quality shots, even in situations which seem impossible.

This outdoor wedding has many distracting noises recorded on the original footage, like traffic and animal noises. One of the ways we overcame these was by putting a wireless microphone on the groom and the officiant. The microphones on the cameras picked up the ambient noises. By editing and mixing all the tracks we created a natural feel to the video while focusing on the words of the ceremony.

Colorful African Clothing Brightens Wedding Ceremony in Video by Wedding Videographer Dallas TX

Kehinde and Akin – An American Wedding with African Roots at Stonegate Mansion

Amid friends and family who were dressed in a bright sea of colorful African cultural clothing, Kehinde and Akin were married under a huge tree with wide-spread limbs at Stonegate Mansion in Ft. Worth.

Kehinde looked lovely in her white satin, empire-waited, strapless gown with sweetheart neckline and corset closing. The form-fitting dress was shirred through the torso and then spread wide at the knee. The empire waist was highlighted by crystal beading and a large crystal decoration gathered the shirring to the side, just before the dress spread out. Kehinde’s elaborate up-do showed off her crystal necklace with matching earrings. She finished off her look with a crystal-edged veil and burgundy suede pumps.

To escort Kehinde down the aisle her father wore a burgundy-colored cultural costume. Kehinde’s face was obscured by a heavy veil. The setting was beautiful: bright green grass, white folding chairs, the huge tree and all the colorful outfits of the guests. Kehinde’s bridesmaids wore long red satin dresses in a variety of styles and they carried bouquets with roses of several colors accented with eucalyptus pods. In the tree was a huge basket filled with flowers.

During the ceremony, the groom and the father of the bride chanted part of the ritual in their native tongue. When the minister invited Akin to kiss his bride, the groom lifted the veil and offered an affectionate embrace. Kehinde said, “You look so handsome!” Then she was embarrassed, because she realized everyone heard the comment.

The reception began with the bride and groom’s families dancing into the room. The colorful parade preceded a similar performance by the wedding party, followed by the bride and groom. The unique multi-tiered cake had one layer decorated with diamonds of color. Others had white icing with dark filigree decoration. The top was a bright bouquet of flowers and the entire cake was surrounded with rose petals.

Dancing was an important part of the reception and whenever the bride and groom danced they were showered with dollar bills from the guests. After a while the bride and groom disappeared to change into their own cultural costumes in a deep orange hue to establish their own family color. Then the showers of bill multiplied.

Behind the scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

We love outdoor weddings – especially on a day as beautiful as Kehinde and Akin’s wedding day – even though it means some extra work for wedding videographer Dallas TX. Outdoor weddings mean greater distances to cover and a use of more different camera settings to get high quality video. The results are so stunning that we relish our labor.

Whatever effort we put into filming a wedding, we like to be invisible while we’re doing it. We use professional-grade HD videocameras because they allow us to stay at the edge of the crowd and still get wonderful close-up. Some videographers choose equipment that requires them to be next to the bride and groom to get that kind of close-up. We think that’s too invasive. The bride and groom should have the spotlight alone.

Another technical device we used for Kehinde and Akin’s wedding was lavalier microphones on the groom and minister. The purpose is to clearly record the words of the vows and we love it when we capture comments like Kehinde’s “You look so handsome.”

Because we’ve recorded so many African weddings we’re familiar with the exciting dancing that would kick off this reception, so we were ready. We had our camera on a wheeled dolly to help us follow the dancers into the room and capture their performance.

We were everywhere, capturing the sights and sounds of Kehinde and Akin’s wedding, but our technology helped keep us invisible to the guests and participants. We love it when our couples can’t believe the shots we got, because they didn’t remember seeing us there.

Weather Gracious for Outdoor Ceremony With Wedding Videographer Dallas TX

Amber and Andrew – The Wildwood Inn in Denton

When Amber married Andrew it was a glorious day in May. The Wildwood Inn, in the North Texas town of Denton, provided a beautiful venue for their touching outdoor ceremony.

Amber’s white flowing gown had a strapless sweetheart bodice accented with a crystal-encrusted empire waistline. For the ceremony, a crystal and pearl headband rested among her curls. The bandeau matched her necklace perfectly. For the reception, she pulled her hair back into a barrette so you could see her dangling pearl earrings. Her bouquet held yellow and white flowers surrounded by burgundy calla lilies. The groom wore a burgundy calla lily boutonniere on his tux with tails.

A flagstone patio under a pergola was the site of the ceremony. Simple Doric columns held up the roof which was draped with sheer bunting. Lavish white flowers arranged in ornate urns on square columns flanked the bride and groom. The perfect touch was a soft breeze teasing the corners of the bunting.

As Andrew watched his bride come down the aisle he battled to hold back his tears of joy. You can see the determined set of his jaw. Amber too, is close to tears when they begin exchanging rings and by the time she places the ring on Andrew’s finger her face is awash.

The fun starts when everyone moves inside for the reception. Andrew danced with his bride and then the bride and groom danced with their parents. The three-tiered wedding cake was decorated in white with yellow trim. The middle tier sported black polka dots. Atop the cake was a pair of action figures to represent the bride and groom. The red velvet groom’s cake was covered in white icing, drizzled with dark chocolate.

At the end of the reception, Andrew leads Amber to his black Camaro convertible as the guest fill the air with bubbles. Then the couple drove away into their future.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

This highlight video in our trailer style is the distillation of weeks of work. Many brides prefer this shorter type of highlight which provides a montage of scenes from their wedding day constructed around musical choices. The mood of the wedding is the focus of the video rather than the time line or words.

On Amber and Andrew’s wedding day, our videographer arrived an hour and a half before the ceremony to set up the equipment and capture the excitement of the bride and groom’s preparations. The one videographer used a variety of tricks while shooting to create the illusion that the video was being filmed by multiple cameras, just like a Hollywood movie. Because we use professional-grade HD video cameras, we can record from the sidelines, out of the way, and still get crystal clear shots, like the close-ups of Amber as she vows her love to Andrew, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Since sound is important in a wedding video, we take many steps to get clear audio. We had hand-held mics for the soloist and hooked in directly to the dj’s sound system. One of our favorite tricks is to put a lapel microphone on the groom so we won’t miss a word of the vows. We encouraged Andrew to keep the mic on throughout the reception so we could capture other shared sentiments of the day.

During the reception we took the camera off the tripod used during the ceremony and put it on a rolling dolly. That allowed us to follow the action wherever it went, such as out on the sundrenched patio for the bouquet and garter tosses. Moving between inside and outside scenes requires quick adjustments on the fly, something our experienced videographers know how to do with precision.

After Amber and Andrew drove away, our work had only begun. We took the recorded images and sounds back to our studio for editing and mixing. A few weeks later we had a demo tape ready for the couple to watch, so they could offer their edits. Once we finished the wedding video with its custom cover and scene selections, we created this highlight video for friends and family to download from our site.

Fun-filled Wedding and Reception at Paradise Cove Captured by Wedding Videographer for Dallas TX

Jessica and Scott – Paradise Cove in Southlake on Lake Grapevine

“She keeps me in line.” At least that’s what Scott claimed as he listed reasons for marrying Jessica. On their wedding day both the bride and groom seemed to be coloring outside the lines. It made for a fun-filled event. On a chilly, blustery autumn day, Jessica and Scott were married at Paradise Cove in Southlake.

Jessica looked quite elegant on her wedding day. She chose a strapless fit-and-flare gown with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice was covered in crystal beading and her hips were wrapped tightly in a satin cummberbund, held in place by a marquis-shaped crystal appliqué. Her necklace was a double strand of sparkling crystals. You’d never guess the sophisticated looking bride had cowboy boots under her gown. The bridesmaids wore short brown dresses with deep V necklines, complimented by their own cowboy boots and mixed bouquets of fall colors. The groom and his attendants wore accessories in a warm peach tone.

As the bride stepped onto the aisle of the outdoor gazebo, the wind whipped up, lifting her veil into the air. She walked down an aisle decorated with small pumpkins filled with fall flowers. Suddenly several groomsmen jumped into the aisle brandishing disposable cameras and setting the tone for a day full of laughs. The bride and groom got the next laugh. As soon as her father turned the bride over to the groom, the pair leaned into one another for a kiss. Ooops! The officiant reminded them the kiss was supposed to come at the end of the ceremony. “My bad,” confessed Scott.

As a part of their wedding, the couple participated in a sand pouring ritual. They included the minister, who poured a third color of sand into the vase, representing the role God would have in their life together. Finally, it was time for Scott to kiss his bride. Then Jessica whispered, “Love you.”

When the ceremony was over, the photographer from Shoeless Expressions gathered everyone up for some formal poses. At last, the bride was able to admit she was freezing with her shoulders bare to the crisp air. She bravely continued however, enjoying all the fun poses the photographer had for the wedding party.

Paradise Cove’s reception space, bathed in fall colors, was a whole lot warmer than the outdoors. The venue’s lovely decorations revealed more of the couple’s humor. Resting among fall leaves spread across the fireplace mantle was a pair of Mickey-Mouse-earred beanies, bride-and-groom styled.

The wedding cake was part bride’s cake and part’s groom cake. Outside, the cake had white icing decorated with pictures meaningful to the couple. Inside the cake was dark devil’s food chocolate. The cutting of the cake was more food fight than wedding ritual. The couple was having a grand old time and no feelings were hurt as the icing was smeared liberally on their faces.

You could tell the bride and groom were having a blast, whether they were dancing their First Dance, tossing garters and bouquets or enjoying the delicious buffet meal. At the end of the reception, the guests were supposed to be waving glowsticks. Instead, they decided the neon plastic sticks would be great weapons and they playfully whipped the bride and groom. The couple escaped the onslaught and Scott lifted his bride into his pick-up truck. As the couple drove away, you could see that the truck had been decorated with glowsticks. This bride and groom are looking forward to a life full of laughs.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

Our best trick on this wedding day was the lavalier microphone we put on the groom’s lapel. The primary purpose of the mic was to record the vows without the distraction of background noises. We asked Scott to keep it on throughout the day and the results were heartwarming. We got the quips during the ceremony, and we also recorded Scott serenading Jessica during the First Dance and the dialog of the food fight.

Our camera people were kind of like that wireless microphone on the groom. They were everywhere, all day long, recording everything and they were virtually invisible while they did it. We choose to use equipment which allows us to stay in the background while taking gorgeous video footage. When we were through at the wedding , we went back to the studio and over the next few weeks created unique wedding video that the couple loved.

Mary and Matthew – The Cooper Aerobics Center in Wedding Video Dallas TX

The bride was beautiful and the groom was handsome, but the father stole the show. During the reception he sang the bride a lullaby – a Beatles song for which he wrote new lyrics. Mary married Matthew along the creek at the Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas, with the blessing and love of her very special father.

Mary looked lovely in her ivory satin dress with sleek contemporary styling. Devoid of distracting decorations, the full skirt fit onto a corset bodice with a sweetheart neckline. Sheer illusion was attached to the bodice to form cap sleeves and continued down to her waist with satin covered buttons. The stunning gown was made by Mary’s mom.

Before he sang the lullaby with the live band, Jurassic Rock, the father told his guests when Mary was six years old she’d told him she wanted to get married in a field. He made her childhood wish come true in a wedding day full of entertainments. Under the reception marquee, guests were treated to a delicious buffet meal. They could record memories of the wedding day in a photo booth complete with props or sit for a portrait by a caricaturist. Croquet and a bean bag toss were also available. Even the six year old Mary would have approved.

After their incredible day, Mary and Matthew strolled away hand in hand along the creek, with the lights of the evening reflecting into the water. With one final wave they said good-bye to their guests and headed into their new life together.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

Mary and Matthew’s wedding was spread out over several acres of the Cooper Aerobics Center. Being everywhere and capturing all the sights and sounds while remaining invisible to the guests and participants in the outdoor setting required a lot of fancy footwork , technology and experience. We wanted to capture all of Mary’s field of dreams.

When we came back to our studio and reviewed the video and audio we recorded that day, we knew we wanted Mary’s father’s song to be at the core of it. We edited and mixed the footage, weaving the song in between all the special moments of the day. Another editing trick we used was to insert the groom’s vows with Mary’s vows so that it seems they are repeating them to one another without the clergy’s prompting.

We tell our brides that no matter what happens on their wedding day, good and bad, they are going to love their wedding video. Mary and Matthew’s wedding day was full of good things, giving us a lot of special moments to choose from when making their video and when we were done, they loved it.
