Claudia and Jared at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Bent Tree Country Club

“It’s almost time,” Claudia said as she sat before a fireplace waiting for her wedding ceremony to begin.  Elsewhere in the church Jared enumerated all the things he loved about his bride.  Claudia and Jared were married at the beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in the historic Lakewood area of Dallas.  Their reception was held at elegant Bent Tree Country Club.

Claudia and Jared’s wedding day was a miracle of logistics coordinated by wedding planner Colleen Harkins.  The first vendor to report for duty was hair and make-up artist Brittany Jones.  She helped Claudia get ready at the bride’s parents’ house, while the guys dressed at the country club.  Then Romantic Remembrances conveyed the bridal party to the church in a limousine and the groom’s party in a bus.

Upon arrival at the church the wedding party was adorned by glorious floral arrangements from Garden Gate – bouquet and corsages for the ladies and boutonnieres for the men.  The florist provided arrangements for the pew ends, as well.  Meanwhile, Christopher Walker of Christographer  ( Formerly Lucky Pro Photography) captured the still shots while we were shooting audio and video.

At the appointed hour, the music of St. Thomas Acquinas’ legendary pipe organ filled the air as the father-of-the- bride walked Claudia down the aisle of the magnificent church.  Claudia looked stunning in a strapless, shirred-satin, fit-an-flare gown with crystal accents at the empire waist and just above the knee.  As Jared escorted her to the altar he couldn’t resist telling her how lovely she looked.

After the wedding, guests headed to Bentree for cocktail hour where other vendors had everything ready.  Linen Hero provided the table and chair covers, Absolute Entertainment set up the lighting and a Creative Events had a photo booth waiting.  Meanwhile Christopher took the post-wedding photographs.  Then Romantic Remembrances transported the couple, the bridal party and their families to the country club.

A little Italian flavor entered the celebrations after the wedding party was announced by the Ice House Band.  For the First Dance the bride and groom swayed to the sounds of Al Martino singing “I Have But One Heart.”  The Italian flavor continued as Claudia danced with her dad to the “Godfather Waltz.”

After Jared danced with his mother to “What a Wonderful Life,” the bride and groom finally got a chance to relax and enjoy dinner.  After dinner they slipped away for a wardrobe change.  This time Claudia had on a smooth satin shirtwaist dress with short, full skirt, accented with a sequined belt.  Now she could really enjoy the high energy sounds of the live band.

When the celebration were over, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, the garter toss and all the dancing, Claudia departed the country club through rows of sparklers and rode away in a vintage Daimler to Hotel ZaZa where their honeymoon suite awaited.

Two Lenicam videographers arrived at Claudia and Jared’s wedding an hour and a half before the ceremony.  There’s a lot to set up to properly capture a wedding.  We had videocamers, tripods, lights and audio equipment to manage.  We also took the opportunity to coordinate with the other vendors and the church’s wedding coordinator, so things will go smoothly during the day.

One of the cameras we set up was our custom-designed proprietary camera with remote control.  This one-of-a-kind equipment allows us to have a camera recording at the front of the church.  Because no other Dallas Wedding Videographer else has this equipment, we are the only ones who can get footage at the front of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Once everything was in place the cameramen split up to capture the pre-wedding activities, so later Claudia and Jared could enjoy watching the first part of each other’s wedding day together.  For the ceremony, one videographer stood at the back of the church for shots from the audience’s point of view, while another camera was hidden out of site near the front to get the close-ups during the ceremony.

After the ceremony, one camera leap-frogged ahead to the reception, while the other stayed behind to capture the fun of the photo shoot.  After the photos the second cameraman joined the reception.  With two cameras at the reception, we were able to keep one camera focused on the bride and groom, while the other camera went around and captured well-wishes from the guests.

When the night is over, we take all the audio and video footage back to our studio to create a wedding video for the couple, their family and their friends to enjoy for all the days of their marriage.

To symbolize their new union, Jordan and Josh each poured salt from individual small bags into a common container.  Tradition says their union can only be broken when each grain of salt can be separated out and given to the one who offered it.  The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas.

The beautiful bride chose a strapless lace A-line gown with tiny covered buttons down the back for her wedding day.  Around her waist she tied a satin ribbon in taupe adorned with fabric flowers.  Her bridesmaid, also in long strapless gowns, were in deep blue.  Their gowns were empire-waited.

Because of the three large windows surrounding the Ashton Garden’s chapel, it appeared that the couple was being married in a forest.  Black wrought iron candelabra with white candles provided an elegant background and white columns topped with flowers finished the lovely décor.

Before the wedding, Jordan enjoyed the comfort of Ashton Garden’s dressing room while Josh chatted with our videographers under a sunlit pergola.  After the ceremony, everyone strolled from the pretty chapel to the luxurious reception space.  Jordan and Josh made a grand entrance down the large curved staircase.  The gorgeous space with its brocade walls and crystal chandeliers also has large windows looking out on the woods.

A live band entertained the guests.  The couple danced their first dance together and then danced with their parents.  Jordan cried as she danced with her father.  The tears gave way to laughter as she and Josh cut their cake.

The beautiful wedding cake, decorated with large red roses, looked as if it had been wrapped in yards and yards of white organza ribbon.  The couple cut the first piece and then shared it.  The playful bride demurely accepted a bite from Josh and then shoved a bite into his face.  The groom good-naturedly wiped away his misplaced helping of icing.

Guests enjoyed dancing to the live band and hamming it up with props from the photo booth.  As the couple departed the guests showered them with confetti.  About halfway down the sidewalk, Josh stopped and dipped Jordan for a kiss which the guests heartily applauded.  The couple drove away in a white vintage car.

Jordan and Josh were working with a tight budget.  Still, having a video of their wedding day was important to them.  We understood that.  We’ve filmed many weddings at Ashton Gardens and for most of them we use two cameras.  However, to help Jordan and Josh stay within their budget, we figured out how to capture the wedding and create the illusion of multiple vantage points  with only one camera.

We put the camera on a rolling tripod.  That way we had the best of both worlds – the stability of a tripod for quality shots and the mobility of wheels.  When we took the footage back to the studio, there was a lot of editing to do, but the final product was appreciated by the frugal  couple.

Ying & Taylor Share Language and Love

When Taylor met Ying, she was actually his teacher.  After his graduation, the two began working at the same place.  They became friends and eventually began dating.  Taylor realized that he was always happier when Ying was around, so he proposed.  The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

Beautiful Ying wore a stunning gown.  Strapless with a sweetheart neckline and corset closing, the dress was made of yards and yards of shirred organza, set off just below the waist with a large floral decoration made from organza.  The center of the flower shone with crystals.

Ying accented her wedding day with bright coral.  She carried a bouquet of coral roses and coral rose petals lined the aisle of the chapel.  Her bridesmaids wore short coral chiffon dresses in a variety of styles.  The men wore coral ties and sported coral boutonnieres.

Ying’s mother walked her down the aisle.  As a part of the ceremony, the couple and their mothers took part in lighting a unique unity candle, which was a votive floating in a tall vase of water.  When given permission to kiss his bride, Taylor dipped her for a kiss.  The audience heartily approved.

After the ceremony, Nicole C. Leiser of A Love Story Photography joked with the family and participants as she posed them for portraits.  Then the couple enjoyed one of the treats of having your wedding and reception at Ashton Gardens.  They entered the reception by coming down the elegant long winding staircase framed by gold brocade and crystal chandeliers.

Ying and Taylor kicked off the reception with a choreographed dance which ended with a dip.  Their guests enjoyed a delicious buffet. Dessert choices included a chocolate wedding cake covered in white icing which appeared to be wrapped in lace ribbon and trimmed with coral roses.  Atop the cake was an ivory porcelain bride-and-groom figurine.  Guests could also choose from handmade chocolate truffles, cheese cake and other sweets.

Michael Furr of First Dance DJs kept the reception events rolling along while spinning tunes which filled the dance floor.  When guest needed a break, they could enjoy the photo booth with props provided by Create the Memories.

Ying’s Chinese heritage played an important role during the day.  Taylor shares a knowledge of her native language, so they often communicate in it.  Chinese symbols were used in decorations.  At the end of the reception, Ying changed into a full length red silk cheongsam to participate in a traditional tea service with her new husband, her mother and Taylor’s parents.

Ying and Taylor’s guests showered them with rose petals as they said their farewells.  Then the couple hopped into their car, decorated with red Chinese symbols for good luck, and drove away.

Ashton Gardens is one of our favorite venues for weddings.  Their marvelous wedding coordinators make our job much easier. Stephanie, who coordinated Ying and Taylor’s wedding is a perfect example.  She kept in touch with everyone throughout the day, making sure we all knew what was coming next.  That’s particularly important for us videographer to know, because it helps us to be set up to get the most critical moments of the day.

Another reason we love Ashton Gardens is the lovely chapel with its three big picture windows surrounding the ceremony and the guests.  The lovely wooded scenery makes a beautiful backdrop, but it doesn’t give a videographer anywhere to hide.  That’s no problem for us, because we’ve developed a proprietary remote control camera on a tall tripod which allows us to get tight close-ups of the couple during the vows without having a videographer up front, distracting from the view.

Since we like to be everywhere, all the time, as we record the sights and sounds of a wedding, while remaining virtually invisible to the participants and guests, we have another trick we find useful.  We put a wireless microphone on the groom’s lapel, so we don’t miss a word of the vows or of the couple’s banter during the reception.  At this wedding, since the couple often spoke in a dialect of Chinese, we weren’t able to understand what they were saying, but that doesn’t matter, because we read body language to decide how to shoot and edit.

Melanie and Tyler Wedding Video Dallas TX at All Saints Catholic Church and Reflections on Spring Creek

When Tyler met Melanie at a frat party, he knew she was more than just another pretty face.  The quiet Kappa Delta with the big dark eyes ( and even bigger smile) captured the fun-loving Pike’s heart.  On a beautiful day in Dallas, seeds of their courtship, sown at the University of Arkansas, ripened into a wedding.  All Saints Catholic Church, with its gorgeous fountains and semi-circular sanctuary provided a perfect venue for the exuberant Tyler to marry the lovely Melanie.

The graceful bride, carrying a bouquet of white hydrangeas with white roses, chose a softly flowing white gown, with sparkling accents and a cascading veil, for her walk down the aisle. Her sweet personality glowed like the pearls in her jewelry.

When Melanie’s father said to Tyler, “Take care of her,” everyone knew the father was letting go of a valuable gem.  Before the wedding, Tyler declared, “I’m the groom.” The elegant ceremony transformed him into a husband.

The couple’s reception, held at Reflections on Spring Creek, recalled the energy of Fayetteville’s frat parties.  Wrapped in boas and floral garlands, sorority sisters in a photo booth threatened all comers with their plastic machine gun.  Line dancers stomped and turned to pulsating songs, when the floor wasn’t full of swaying couples.  Melanie’s bouquet took a stratospheric flight and the single guys turned the garter toss into a round of hot potato.  Hilarity reached a high point when Melanie and Tyler used Barbie and Ken dolls to duke it out in The Newlywed Game.  Amid the hi-jinks, guests enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner topped off with slices of the three-tiered wedding cake.

Arriving an hour and a half before Melanie and Tyler’s ceremony, we set up special video equipment to see everything, while remaining virtually invisible to participants, officiants and guests.  We placed a remote camera, far above of the line of sight, to capture the bride’s gorgeous smile during the vows.  To capture the sounds , we used two small wireless microphones, one hidden in the podium and another mic placed on the groom.   The wedding coordinator’s apprehensions melted into smiles when our devices disappeared from sight.

Spoken words come through clearly on the video, both the priest’s heartfelt sentiments during the ceremony and his playful joking during the shooting of the formal stills, as well as secrets shared between the bride and groom.  At the end of their delightful day, the nuptial couple tried to sneak away without a formal sendoff, however our cameras, invisible and everywhere, just like they were at the ceremony, recorded it all.

Lindsey and Shawn Wedding Videography Dallas TX – Mediterranean Villa Wedding in Arlington

The handsome groom looked elegant in his ascot and tails.  The bride looked elegant too, but underneath her chic satin gown, thick blue socks kept her cowboy boots from rubbing against her shins.  Lindsey and Shawn had a fun-filled wedding at Mediterranean Villa in Arlington.

When Lindsey arrived at dusk, her head was ready for the wedding, but the rest of her was blue-jeaned.  In the bride’s room, a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, shirred bodice and A-Line skirt made her look every inch the bride.  As she dressed a gift arrived from the groom – a large emerald cut diamond solitaire which sparkled around her neck throughout the evening.  Sparkling around the necklace was her crystal edged veil, crystal tiara, crystal chandelier earrings and a sash, which was heavily ornamented with crystals.

In Lindsey’s wedding party were several pint-sized attendants which added to the light-hearted atmosphere of the evening.  First came a tiny curly-headed flower girl, who needed a little adult supervision to make it down the aisle.  Next a tuxedoed lad sauntered in carrying a sign which read, “Uncle Shawn, Here Comes Your Bride.”  A pair of ring bearers were next, but the second ring bearer depended on the moral support of a second flower-girl, this one with a fancy up-do, to make it to the front.

The lovely Mediterranean Villa Chapel was beautifully decorated for the ceremony.  Huge urns of flowers flanked the bride and groom and behind the officiant was a row of tall crystal vases.  Some of the vases were full of floating orchids, topped off with a floating votive.  Others had pink tinted water with a floating votive.  The venue with its wrought-iron emblazoned stucco buildings and beautiful bronze fountain makes a wonderful backdrop for a wedding.

With the ceremony behind them, the couple and their guests cut loose at the reception.  Emerald City, a popular Dallas band, entertained the guests, but they had vocal assists from the bride and groom throughout the evening.   If your dancing shoes were hurting your feet you could take a break in the photo booth.  It started out with many crazy props for impromptu portraits, but the props eventually migrated to the dance floor.

When it came time for the garter toss, the groom pranked his slender bride.  He came out from under her gown with a pair of red underpants that would wrap three times around his tiny new wife.  Once the laugh was over, he dove back under the skirt of her wedding dress to get the garter, but Lindsey had to help him get it by taking off her boot.

At the end of the evening, guests waved purple glow sticks as the bride and groom made their way out of the building.

During Lindsey and Shawn’s wedding our videographers were tasked with being everywhere all the time, recording everyone and everything, while remaining virtually invisible to the participants and guests.  To accomplish this, they arrived an hour and a half before the ceremony and unloaded cases and cases of equipment.  Some people think all you need to record a wedding is a consumer model DSLR camera with a video feature.  If you do it that way, your result will not be a full-length cinemagraphic video like ours.

Any live band creates extra work on our part, because we’ve got to record all the audio as well as the action on the dance floor.  When Emerald City is the band, we know we’ll have a lot to film, because they always keep the dance floor full.  At the same time, we also know they’ll give us an audio file at the end of the evening, so that makes things easier.

 This highlight video is just a small sample of Lindsey and Shawn’s actual wedding video.  Two experienced videographers e used two professional grade HD videocameras on tripods and a wide variety of audio equipment to record the sights and sounds of this wedding.  Then we went back to our studio with hours and hours of footage and spent weeks editing and mixing the footage to create the couple’s unique video.

Grace and Kyle -St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell and Embassy Suite Hotel Reception in Grapevine

Grace met Kyle when she was a freshman at high school band camp.  It may have been love at first sight, but in the ensuing years Kyle found more than looks to love.  “She’s beautiful, but not just on the outside,” he said when asked about his bride. Grace and Kyle were married at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell.

Grace was certainly beautiful on her wedding day.  Her sleeveless gown had a lace bodice with a jewel neckline and taupe satin sash.  The elaborate fit-and- flare gown hugged her torso with a shirred organza, sported an organza decoration at the hip and then fell into layers and layers of organza petals and ruffles.  Her   When Kyle saw her his eyebrows flew almost to his hairline.

St. Anne’s is a gorgeous church with ornate decorations in gold and silver.  The nervous pair couldn’t seem to come up with the right responses during the vows, but the priest declared them man and wife nonetheless.  Then Grace had to tell Kyle it was time for them to leave.  Outside they climbed into a Hummer limo which took them to the reception at the Grapevine Embassy Suites.

The reception was a culinary delight.  Guests were treated to a buffet dinner which offered everything from shrimp cocktail to Chinese takeout.  The wedding cake was covered in swirls of white icing and topped with formed sugar flowers.  A stack of cake ball’s with a Baylor bear jumping out of the top was the groom’s dessert.

DJ James Looney kept the dance floor hopping and when the dancers needed a break, there was a photo booth with crazy props. When the evening drew to a close, the revelers waved their sparklers in the air as Grace and Kyle strolled away arm in arm.

One of the benefits of purchasing a wedding video package with two videographers is the pre-ceremony segment.  We arrive an hour and a half before the wedding to unload all of our equipment and set up what we need.  Then we have time to spend in the dressing rooms of both the bride and the groom.  We like to interview the bride and groom separately about how they met, what they love about each other and how they feel about their wedding day.  With these interviews we’re able to capture the people behind the wedding finery.

When we arrived at St. Ann’s masses were still in progress in the sanctuary while we set up in the chapel.  Thanks to our wheeled dolly we were able to go about our business quietly and did not interrupt the mass.

Another thing we do to get to the real bride and groom is put a wireless microphone on the groom.  This helps us capture the vows, but it also keeps us inside the conversation between the bride and groom throughout the celebration.  Many couples like to have these sentiments as part of the video for everyone to enjoy.  There are also a couple of ways for us to make these sentiments private to the bride and groom, according to their wishes.  Whether they share them with everyone or just between themselves, these endearments are often the most cherished part of a video.

Chelsea and Lance Rock the Hickory Creek Annex in Deep Ellum in Wedding Videos Dallas TX

A hand-painted wooden signboard, outside Hickory Street Annex, welcomed guests to Chelsea and Lance’s wedding.  Before the ceremony, a Knockout Beauty artist applied the finishing touches to the very pretty bride, while charming Lance and his groomsmen polished off some scotch and cigars.

In the Annex, a repurposed warehouse, white lights hung from the ceiling among large, round, paper lanterns.  Smaller lanterns, dangled from the ends of the aisles, echoing what was above.

After ushers seated the guests of honor, a tiny flower girl, very intent on placing her petals in just the right spots, promenaded down the aisle.  Then with a bouquet of roses from Haute Floral in one hand and her father’s sleeve in the other, Chelsea followed the flower girl to the groom’s side.

Branches of romantic twinkle lights and cascading sheers framed the couple as they exchanged vows.  Chelsea’s white satin dress glowed in the soft light, while fire from her dramatic chandelier earrings danced around her face.  As she left the ceremony on her new husband’s arm, her long ruffled train and flowing veil swept along behind her.

Once the formal ceremony was over, table settings in the reception area announced the fun had begun.  Burlap and twine covered bottles, on burlap table runners, held bouquets of white baby’s breath.  Upended wine corks displayed place cards.  Flickering votives shone on white linen.

As their first dance ended, Lance dipped his bride low to the ground and laid on a great big Texas-sized kiss. Then he playfully dove under Chelsea’s gown in search of the garter.  Guests hammed it up in the 4 Flashes Photo Booth with feather boas, hats and wild sunglasses, making keepsakes for the couple.

A beautiful beribboned cake of four tiers, from Kakes by Katy, was topped with a distinctive cursive initial.  As the couple shared the first slice, a scrumptious Grooms cake, a strawberry-topped cheesecake, peeked over the couple’s shoulder.  CN Catering provided sustenance with delicious food and beverages all evening long, while Le Force Entertainment kept the dance floor swinging.  Then as the long black limousine arrived, guests formed a tunnel of sparklers to bid them farewell.  Congratulations to Mirium Ahurnman Events for a spectacular production.

Arriving an hour and a half before Chelsea and Lance’s ceremony, we set up our equipment to see and hear everything, while remaining virtually invisible to participants, officiants and guests.  Filming in this location required a piece of proprietary equipment we developed for special situations.  In order to record Chelsea’s sweet smile during the vows, the special camera, affixed atop an adjustable tripod, was set up behind the groomsmen.  The cameraman, wearing videoglasses, used a remote control device to direct the camera.   A small wireless microphone hidden on the groom caught special spoken memories.  We used other cameras to search out quiet moments, like a flower girl playing among empty chairs, stolen kisses and Hickory Annex’s lights glowing in the dark, to add texture to the more lively events.  The end result provides and experience more complete than any guest or participant could have enjoyed.

Michelle and Paul – Dallas World Aquarium hosts West End Wedding in Wedding Video Dallas TX

There was something decidedly fishy about Michelle and Paul’s wedding.  It took place in front of a huge tank of tropical specimens at the Dallas World Aquarium in West End.

The bride and groom were first introduced at a Yummilicious yogurt store by a pair of doctors they knew.  The prescription was right for the beginning of a delicious relationship.  Brian was smitten, so he pursued Michelle until, according to him, he “finally wore her down.”

The beautiful Michelle looked stunning on her wedding day.  Her strapless white satin gown featured a sweetheart bodice covered in crystals, which trailed along the low backline to the corset closing.  The bridesmaids wore short strapless dresses of deep burgundy.  The fall colors of the bridal party’s bouquets were echoed by elaborate floral displays for the ceremony.

The couples wrote their vows for one another, listing all the things they loved about one another.  Some of the items listed were pretty funny, but afterwards there wasn’t a dry eye among their guests.  After the ceremony the wedding party posed for a series of formal portraits.  With all the birds flying around the aquarium/zoo/conservatory the bride hoped drops of moisture hitting her skin came from the waterfall, not the wildlife.

At the reception the guests had plenty to keep them busy.  Dinner and dessert were served buffet style.  The dj kept the dance floor hopping all night long.  Nearby a photo booth offered an array of crazy props for hamming it up.  If a guest needed a break, they could just sit down and watch a slideshow of photos from the couple’s courtship.

If it’s true that the guests who catch the bouquet and garter are the next to get married, none of Michelle and Paul’s single friends will be getting married anytime soon.  The flower girl and ring-bearer who caught the bouquet and garter are a little young to start considering marriage.   At the end of the evening the bride and groom escaped through a swirl of bubbles.

Lighting is tricky in an aquarium.  The ambient light is left low, so the light in the tanks can show off the fish.  Meanwhile, our cameras needed light to show off the bride and groom.  Our videocameras do have lights on them and we are able to adjust the lenses.  Also the glass tanks reflect light, causing another hazard for our videographers.  Despite the venue’s lighting, everything in the video is easy to see thanks to our constant setting and resetting on the fly.

Sounds are also important to a video and capturing them in the wide open spaces of the aquarium with its wildlife and waterfalls required our expertise.  One of the strategies we used to get clear sound on the video was employing a variety of audio feeds.  We needed to clearly capture every word that was spoken during the vows.  We also wanted to include the charming ambient sounds of the waterfalls and wildlife.  We just didn’t want the ambient sound to overpower the words.  By editing and mixing the audio in our studio, we created a perfect soundtrack to the video.

Since weddings are a one-shot opportunity without do-overs, LeniCam always brings back-ups for our equipment and back-ups for our back-ups.  As the dj was setting up, he discovered he’d left one of his microphones behind.  Because of our planned redundancy we were able to loan him one of our.

“Love you!  I’m going to be your wifey in a little bit,” Judy said, smooching toward the camera, when asked if she had a message for Dallas.  When asked about Judy, Dallas said, “She’s the most amazing person in the world to me.”  Judy and Dallas were married at The Chapel of Ana Villa in The Colony.

The beautiful bride, surrounded by her bridesmaids in deep purple dresses, looked stunning in her strapless fit-and-flare gown with beaded bodice and a skirt of tiered ruffles.  The bridesmaids entered the chapel from a balcony via tile stairs with ornate rod iron railings.  The bride entered from the double doors below and came up an aisle decorated with crystal vases holding floating votive candles.  After a ceremony which included the lighting of a unity candle, the bride and groom returned down the aisle in a joyous mood.  They even gave one another a high five.

DJ Jeff Christianson of Fox Productions rocked the reception all night long.  In the beginning, during the First Dance and the dances with parents, the volume was low and the beat was gentle.  After the couple cut their gorgeous cake dripping with purple hydrangeas and purple ribbon, the music picked up.  From the synchronized line dancing to the syncopated “gangnum” style, Jeff kept the dance floor busy.  When a country rock song came along, Judy and Dallas proved their First Dance as man and wife was not their first dance together.  Watching the couple swirl around the floor was pure magic.  If anyone got tired of dancing, Beatbox Portraits was nearby with props and a photo booth.

Dallas had a stunt up his sleeve to make his garter toss and little more exciting than it could have been.  After taking the garter from around Judy’s leg, he slipped it on to a football and passed it towards the single guys.  They all had their hands up and were trying to connect before they remembered that whoever caught that garter, football or no football, they were traditionally going to be the next groom.

At the end of the evening Dallas and Judy said their farewells while their guests waved ribbon streamers.  Then the newly married man and wife hopped into their SUV and drove away.

When guests arrived at Judy and Dallas’s ceremony and reception, they saw a finished project.  Even details which were virtually invisible to the guests represented decisions Judy and Dallas had to make, as well as money they had to spend.  Videography is sort of like that.  Yes, LeniCam’s equipment and personnel took up some real estate in the background at the wedding and reception.  That real estate was just the tip of the iceberg.

We’re good at what we do because we pay attention to the details.  A detail that was important to the groom was the music provided by a live musician who was once a roommate.  With the other noises all around, capturing his music was a challenge, but we did it and we used it as background music for portions of the video.

Another detail we pay attention to is our equipment.  As soon as our audio and video equipment returns to the office, the data is downloaded and the memory is erased so we’ll have plenty for the next shoot.  We recharge and test all the batteries every time, replacing anything that’s running low.  Before reloading the equipment into our cases, we’ll inspect every inch, knob and connection to make sure that everything is in working order and that we have all the cords and peripherals needed.  Then as we load for the next event, we make sure we have extra batteries, memory, cords and such – and then we get some more.

Judy and Dallas’s wedding was a one-time event.  We had to get it right from the beginning.  That’s why we showed up a lot earlier than we needed to.  That’s why we have their footage stored on a secure server in our studio.  When they hired us to videograph their wedding, we understood they were trusting us with an important responsibility.  We took that responsibility seriously.  We always do.
