When LSU Tiger Matthew took Texas Aggie Kristen to dinner at Bob’s Steakhouse, his plan was to pop the big question.  On an after dinner lake-side stroll he proposed and Kristen said yes.  Their groom’s cake, decorated with Aggie and Tiger logos, declared the couple a house united.  Kristin and Matthew were married at Suncreek United Methodist Church in Allen.

Kristen was a lovely bride in her strapless tulle gown with a sweetheart neckline and corset closing.  The fitted bodice of shirred tulle was decorated with clusters of ornate beading.  The trumpet skirt, also of tulle flared out in a soft cloud and formed a train.  The gathered tulle veil framed her face, showing off her crystal earrings and necklace.  Beautiful roses in a variety of shades of white formed her bouquet.  The bridesmaids wore short black gowns with wide lace straps and their bouquets were bright mixes of various flowers.

Before the wedding, the bride and groom met for a First Look.  During the ceremony the couple lit a unity candle while a live guitarist serenaded them.  After their vows, the couple was joined by family members and the wedding party for photos, while their guests headed to the reception at The Marriot at Legacy Town Center, where Kristin is the Banquet Director.

When guests arrived at the reception they were sweetly greeted by a candy buffet.  Then Kristin and Matthew arrived for their First Dance.  As they cut their lovely four-tiered wedding cake, the couple was all smiles and pleasantries.  The groom’s cake, devoted to their rival schools, stirred up a little competition, though.

A delicious buffet fueled everyone up for an evening of fun.  The dj kept them singing and dancing all evening long.  If anyone needed a break, they could grab up some props and ham it up in the photo booth.  When it was time to leave, the bride and groom made their way through a crowd of their friends who were lighting up the night with bright sparklers.

As you watch Kristin and Matthew make their vows to one another in this highlight video, notice how the point of view changes.  For awhile, it will seem as if you are standing just behind the groom, peering over his shoulder into Kristin’s face.  We captured those images with our proprietary remote control camera.  The camera is up at the front getting those tight close-ups, but the camera man is at the back of the church, out of sight, so he doesn’t distract from the tender moment.  Another cameraperson operates a second camera in the back of the room, which captures the other vantage point.

Another trick we use to capture the details of the couple’s wedding day, without invading their space, is our lavalier microphone on the groom’s lapel.  We attached it before the ceremony and asked the groom to wear it throughout the evening.  It recorded every word of their vows and gives us an inside seat to their conversations throughout the day.  The endearments shared can be included on the regular audio track or they can be hidden for the couple’s private enjoyment.

Since Kristin is the Banquet Director at the Marriot at Legacy Town Center, she sees a lot of wedding vendors.  We’re proud she chose us for her wedding and even prouder that she frequently recommends us to other brides-to-be.

Grace met Kyle when she was a freshman at high school band camp.  It may have been love at first sight, but in the ensuing years Kyle found more than looks to love.  “She’s beautiful, but not just on the outside,” he said when asked about his bride. Grace and Kyle were married at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell.

Grace was certainly beautiful on her wedding day.  Her sleeveless gown had a lace bodice with a jewel neckline and taupe satin sash.  The elaborate fit-and- flare gown hugged her torso with a shirred organza, sported an organza decoration at the hip and then fell into layers and layers of organza petals and ruffles.  Her   When Kyle saw her his eyebrows flew almost to his hairline.

St. Anne’s is a gorgeous church with ornate decorations in gold and silver.  The nervous pair couldn’t seem to come up with the right responses during the vows, but the priest declared them man and wife nonetheless.  Then Grace had to tell Kyle it was time for them to leave.  Outside they climbed into a Hummer limo which took them to the reception at the Grapevine Embassy Suites.

The reception was a culinary delight.  Guests were treated to a buffet dinner which offered everything from shrimp cocktail to Chinese takeout.  The wedding cake was covered in swirls of white icing and topped with formed sugar flowers.  A stack of cake ball’s with a Baylor bear jumping out of the top was the groom’s dessert.

DJ James Looney kept the dance floor hopping and when the dancers needed a break, there was a photo booth with crazy props. When the evening drew to a close, the revelers waved their sparklers in the air as Grace and Kyle strolled away arm in arm.

One of the benefits of purchasing a wedding video package with two videographers is the pre-ceremony segment.  We arrive an hour and a half before the wedding to unload all of our equipment and set up what we need.  Then we have time to spend in the dressing rooms of both the bride and the groom.  We like to interview the bride and groom separately about how they met, what they love about each other and how they feel about their wedding day.  With these interviews we’re able to capture the people behind the wedding finery.

When we arrived at St. Ann’s masses were still in progress in the sanctuary while we set up in the chapel.  Thanks to our wheeled dolly we were able to go about our business quietly and did not interrupt the mass.

Another thing we do to get to the real bride and groom is put a wireless microphone on the groom.  This helps us capture the vows, but it also keeps us inside the conversation between the bride and groom throughout the celebration.  Many couples like to have these sentiments as part of the video for everyone to enjoy.  There are also a couple of ways for us to make these sentiments private to the bride and groom, according to their wishes.  Whether they share them with everyone or just between themselves, these endearments are often the most cherished part of a video.

You could tell it was going to be a fun day when you saw the bridal party hanging-out before the ceremony in their bright floral-patterned kimonos.  In another part of the Westin Stonebriar, the groom was grinning ear to ear as his mom pinned on his boutonniere.  Morgan and Jordon shared a joyous wedding day at the Westin Stonebriar in Frisco.

For her wedding the beautiful bride chose a stunning lace gown covered in crystals.  The Queen Anne neckline fell into a deep vee and the back opened into a keyhole. Finishing the look were dramatic crystal chandelier earrings and a camellia.

The ceremony took place in the Crystal Ballroom before an archway of colorful fall flowers – but that’s not where the bride intended it to be.  A last minute rain shower came along and moved the ceremony inside.

The autumn décor continued in the reception space.  Tall crystal vases were filled with a variety of fall motifs. Some contained stacked pumpkins, while others were filled with pine cones.  Still others were full of water with floating votives.  The tables were covered in fall foliage.

As they entered, guests were encouraged to tie on a wish bracelet.  Then they were invited to a delicious buffet with stations for pasta, mashed potatoes and prime rib.  The gorgeous wedding cake had a spider web drawn on one layer and the rest of the delicately iced layers looked as if they had been spun by the spider.

After the initial formalities, Morgan changed into a looser silver lame gown which allowed more freedom for fun. DJ Stan from the DJ Connection kept the dance floor rocking.  The energetic crowd donned glow-stick haloes and danced the night away.  At the end of the evening the couple escaped through a tunnel of waving sparklers.

Morgan and Jordon were the stars of a very special wedding day.  At LeniCam, we believe that the center of attention belongs to the bride and groom, both on their day and in their video.  There are a number of technologies available for videos and we have chosen to use professional-grade HD videocameras.  These cameras give us great zoom capabilities, which allow us to capture scenes, both tight close-ups and wide coverage shots, without being in the middle of the action.  We’re able to be everywhere, recording everything and everyone, while staying on the outskirts of the room – virtually invisible to the guests and participants.  Our couples often wonder how we filmed scenes of their video when they don’t remember seeing us.

However, there’s not much we can do about the weather.  Everything was set for the outside ceremony, when the rain began to fall, dousing everyone and everything – including us and all our equipment.  We promised Morgan that no matter what happened – good or bad – on the wedding day, she was going to love her wedding video. And she did!  Rain or shine at your wedding – only shine on your video.

When dental hygienist, Amanda, told Charbel to open wider, she was talking about his mouth, not his heart.  But Charbel couldn’t help himself – he fell in love anyway.

He kept coming back to the dentist’s office time and again, whether he needed work on his teeth or not – and finally won the girl of his dreams. Amanda and Charbel were married in an outdoor ceremony at the iconic Magnolia Hotel in Downtown Dallas.

The wedding aisle was decorated with black iron lanterns topped with large tulle bows.  Guests sat in rows of white folding chairs.  At the ends of the rows, balls of green vegetation hung on pink ribbons. Dominating the scene was a large flowing waterfall.

A tiny, tuxedoed ring-bearer and a precious flower girl with a big blue bow, preceded Amanda down the aisle. The groom grinned widely when his beautiful bride appeared.  She wore a satin, sequin-embroidered, fit-and-flare gown, with a ruffled skirt and train, complimented by a lace-trimmed veil and satin belt with crystal ornament.  Hiding under the dress were electric blue shoes which matched the six bridesmaids’ one-shouldered dresses and the bow on the flower girl’s white dress.  Pink roses in the bride’s bouquet matched the pink ribbons on the ends of the pews.

The couple sealed their vows with communion wine sipped from an exquisite crystal chalice.  After formal portraits of the wedding party, guests proceeded next door, to the Pegasus Grand Ballroom in the Dallas Power and Light Building, a popular venue for Magnolia brides.

At the reception, guests celebrated Charbel’s Syrian heritage in song and in dance.  During a lively version of the Newlywed Game, the couple indicated their answers by raising shoes into the air – a black oxford stood for Charbel and the electric blue pump for Amanda.  The bride’s bouquet flew into the arms of an excited friend and Charbel flew under Amanda’s gown for her garter, but when said garter flew through the air, only the ring bearer showed any interest.

Live flowers on the wedding cake echoed the flowers in Amanda’s bouquet.  The couple sipped champagne from crystal flutes tied with ribbon.   Exiting between rows of guests waving sparklers, Charbel said to Amanda, “I’m the happiest man on this planet right now.”  Amanda expressed similar sentiments.

The bride and groom were ready to go, but their horse and carraige was no where in sight.  So, Charbel’s friends broke into Boy Scout songs they once sang together in Syria.  Finally, the horse and carriage arrived to whisk away the bride and groom.

The LeniCam Difference – A Video Experience More Complete Than the Live Event

As Amanda and Charbel’s guests enjoyed the sights and sounds of the lovely outdoor wedding, with its flowing waterfall and dramatic skyline views, the guests automatically filtered out the sound of falling water and traffic noises from busy Dallas streets.  They also ignored beer-drinking tourists spying on the festivities from the sidewalk, even though the bride, her father and her attendants had to walk around the impromptu audience.  For the video to accomplish the same feat as the wedding guests, we spent hours electronically mixing and filtering a variety of camera and audio feeds recorded at the wedding. Though attendees might have some memory of the distractions, no hint shows up in the video.

At Amanda and Charbel’s wedding ceremony, the cameraperson focused on the bride and groom.  To capture the excitement and activity of the reception, the camera had to be everywhere, all the time, yet remain invisible to the celebrants.  As with the wedding, several audio and video feeds were necessary.  With meticulous devotion to detail we captured the  entwined arms of the Syrian dancers, important sentiments like Charbel’s confession of joy and the sound of the horse’s hooves as French Boy Scout songs faded into the night.
