Claudia and Jared at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Bent Tree Country Club

“It’s almost time,” Claudia said as she sat before a fireplace waiting for her wedding ceremony to begin.  Elsewhere in the church Jared enumerated all the things he loved about his bride.  Claudia and Jared were married at the beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in the historic Lakewood area of Dallas.  Their reception was held at elegant Bent Tree Country Club.

Claudia and Jared’s wedding day was a miracle of logistics coordinated by wedding planner Colleen Harkins.  The first vendor to report for duty was hair and make-up artist Brittany Jones.  She helped Claudia get ready at the bride’s parents’ house, while the guys dressed at the country club.  Then Romantic Remembrances conveyed the bridal party to the church in a limousine and the groom’s party in a bus.

Upon arrival at the church the wedding party was adorned by glorious floral arrangements from Garden Gate – bouquet and corsages for the ladies and boutonnieres for the men.  The florist provided arrangements for the pew ends, as well.  Meanwhile, Christopher Walker of Christographer  ( Formerly Lucky Pro Photography) captured the still shots while we were shooting audio and video.

At the appointed hour, the music of St. Thomas Acquinas’ legendary pipe organ filled the air as the father-of-the- bride walked Claudia down the aisle of the magnificent church.  Claudia looked stunning in a strapless, shirred-satin, fit-an-flare gown with crystal accents at the empire waist and just above the knee.  As Jared escorted her to the altar he couldn’t resist telling her how lovely she looked.

After the wedding, guests headed to Bentree for cocktail hour where other vendors had everything ready.  Linen Hero provided the table and chair covers, Absolute Entertainment set up the lighting and a Creative Events had a photo booth waiting.  Meanwhile Christopher took the post-wedding photographs.  Then Romantic Remembrances transported the couple, the bridal party and their families to the country club.

A little Italian flavor entered the celebrations after the wedding party was announced by the Ice House Band.  For the First Dance the bride and groom swayed to the sounds of Al Martino singing “I Have But One Heart.”  The Italian flavor continued as Claudia danced with her dad to the “Godfather Waltz.”

After Jared danced with his mother to “What a Wonderful Life,” the bride and groom finally got a chance to relax and enjoy dinner.  After dinner they slipped away for a wardrobe change.  This time Claudia had on a smooth satin shirtwaist dress with short, full skirt, accented with a sequined belt.  Now she could really enjoy the high energy sounds of the live band.

When the celebration were over, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, the garter toss and all the dancing, Claudia departed the country club through rows of sparklers and rode away in a vintage Daimler to Hotel ZaZa where their honeymoon suite awaited.

Two Lenicam videographers arrived at Claudia and Jared’s wedding an hour and a half before the ceremony.  There’s a lot to set up to properly capture a wedding.  We had videocamers, tripods, lights and audio equipment to manage.  We also took the opportunity to coordinate with the other vendors and the church’s wedding coordinator, so things will go smoothly during the day.

One of the cameras we set up was our custom-designed proprietary camera with remote control.  This one-of-a-kind equipment allows us to have a camera recording at the front of the church.  Because no other Dallas Wedding Videographer else has this equipment, we are the only ones who can get footage at the front of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Once everything was in place the cameramen split up to capture the pre-wedding activities, so later Claudia and Jared could enjoy watching the first part of each other’s wedding day together.  For the ceremony, one videographer stood at the back of the church for shots from the audience’s point of view, while another camera was hidden out of site near the front to get the close-ups during the ceremony.

After the ceremony, one camera leap-frogged ahead to the reception, while the other stayed behind to capture the fun of the photo shoot.  After the photos the second cameraman joined the reception.  With two cameras at the reception, we were able to keep one camera focused on the bride and groom, while the other camera went around and captured well-wishes from the guests.

When the night is over, we take all the audio and video footage back to our studio to create a wedding video for the couple, their family and their friends to enjoy for all the days of their marriage.

The gracefully carved double doors of the ornate church opened to reveal the bride.  Sunshine glowed through her veil creating a halo of light.  The message was clear.  The lucky groom was marrying an angel.  Timothy and his angel, Theresa, were married at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas,Texas.

Theresa did look angelic on her wedding day.  She chose a simple, white satin, A-line gown with a straight shirred bodice and wide straps.  The folds continued down the full skirt.  Her full length veil of soft tulle seemed to float around her, revealing baby’s breath tucked between her tresses.

St. Thomas Aquinas, a stunning example of Gothic architecture, provided an elegant venue for Theresa and Timothy’s wedding.  Their amazing pipe organ filled the church with glorious sound as Theresa’s father escorted her down the aisle.   Waiting with the groom at the altar were the couple’s attendants.  The bridesmaids wore soft crepe dresses in dark olive and the groomsmen sported purple boutonnieres in their tux lapels.  Dramatic floral arrangements with pink gladiolas provided a background for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, friends and family gathered in the church for photos.  Jokes flew among the wedding party members as the photographer lined them up.  Photographers traditionally tell people to say ‘cheese’ when trying to solicit smiles from their subjects, but someone in this crowd called out “cheesecake” instead.  Could they have known what was to come?

After the photo fun, the celebration moved to Big Sky Event Hall  in Royce City . The venue was very name-appropriate for this couple.  Timothy is from Montana, also known as Big Sky Country and that’s where they’ve made their home.  Big Sky sits on a 250 acre family-owned ranch.  Huge trees dot the wide open plain surrounding the venue making it seem as if visitors can see into forever.  The rustic barn-like facility looked particularly festive with white bunting and twinkle lights in the rafters.

The charming couple danced first with one another and also with their parents.  Then came the cheesecake – a whole table of various cheesecakes.   The couple cut one of the delicious offerings and fed the first slice to one another.  After toasting, they linked arms and drank champagne.

At the end of the evening, well wishers showered the couple with rose petals.  Timothy helped Theresa and her large white dress fit into his small red car.  Then they drove away into the sunset.

This wedding highlight video is just a sampling from Theresa and Timothy’s wedding day.  They chose the beautiful music and our producer edited scenes from their day to fit in with the music.

Through the magic of video, we can create wonderful illusions.  For instance, in the video Theresa recites her vows as if by memory, even though at the wedding she had actually been prompted through each phrase by the priest.

We have other tricks up our sleeve, too.  It seems as if our cameraman must have been standing just behind the groom to get these shots of Theresa, but that would have been distracting to the audience.  So, instead, we have a remote control camera on a tripod just outside of the audience’s line of sight operated by a cameraman up in the choir loft.  This set-up allows us to capture many shots that other videographers have to miss.

Cupid must have had a day off the first time Dason met Panissa, because both of them went on to date other people.  However, they stayed in touch on a friendly basis and eventually Cupid got it right.  Panissa and Dason were married in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Lakewood, a charming neighborhood on Dallas’ east side.

The petite bride chose a big dramatic look for her wedding day. In the back, her form-fitting strapless gown plunged almost to her waist in the back, where a long row of tiny satin covered buttons began and continued to the hem of her train.  The simple bodice of the trumpet-shaped wedding dress flared into wide skirt traced with curlicues of puffy ruffles.  The sweetheart neckline showcased her sensational pearl necklace.  When she joined Dason at the front of the church, he said, “You look beautiful.”

The couple’s reception was held in the elegant Tower Club on the 48th floor of Thanksgiving Tower.  The lights of Downtown Dallas provided a glorious background for the festivities. Panissa’s wedding cake was a multi-tiered wonder, covered in glowing white fondant rose petals and topped with a bouquet of live pink flowers.

DJ Stephen Leggett of Complete Weddings + Events Dallas kept the dance floor hopping all night long.  The bride and groom preformed a choreographed First Dance and then danced with their parents.  Panissa’s Cambodian heritage was celebrated with a traditional promenade by her friends and family.  There was also an American promenade, of sorts, as guests filled the floor for line dancing.  One little toddler in pink cowboy boots was so excited by the music she lifted her dress and flashed the crowd.  Dason found the music pretty exciting also.  He and a friend broke some moves on the dance floor – really!  Down on the dance floor!

Compared to his petite bride, Dason is a long, tall drink of water.  In fact, he’s so tall that when Panissa reached up to feed him a bite of the chocolate groom’s cake, more landed on his chin than did in his mouth.  The newly married couple and their guests had a fun evening, but eventually it came to an end.  Then the couple climbed into a flower-bedecked horse-drawn carriage from North Star Carriage, Dallas’s oldest carriage company.

Our videographers arrived at St. Thomas Aquinas an hour and a half before the ceremony to set up their cameras and microphones.  When everything was set, one videographer visited the bride and another, the groom.

As the guests were seated, a live guitarist sang “The Wedding Song.” We filmed his performance and also recorded his music to use throughout the video, giving it the flavor Panissa and Dason had chosen for their wedding.

Having two videographers allowed us to place one camera in the back of the church to capture the magnificent beauty of the church’s interior, while our close-up cameras and lavaliere microphones allowed us to capture the more intimate moments.  That’s how we recorded Dason’s, “You look beautiful,” as his bride approached, and Panissa’s radiant smile during her vows.

Throughout the day, from the bride’s dressing room to the couple’s departure by carriage, we were everywhere, recording everything, while managing to remain virtually invisible to the guests and participants.  At the end of the day, our job had only begun.  We returned to our studio and in the days that followed, edited and mixed the sights and sounds of Panissa and Dason’s wedding day, so it could always be a part of their lives.

Videographer Wedding Dallas TX captures Carla and Alessio at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Hilton Anatole with 

Imagine a girl from Dallas going to school in Italy for four months and meeting a handsome Italian who follows her home.  It’s the stuff of dreams and chick flicks, and sometimes it actually happens.  Carla and Alessio married at the beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in East Dallas – and talk about a marriage made in heaven, the wedding even had a special blessing from the pope.

Carla looked like a dream on her wedding day in her strapless white ball gown covered with lace and crystals.  For the ceremony she wore a lace bolero and cathedral length veil.  Her bridesmaids wore short strapless satin dresses of deep purple and they too had boleros for the ceremony.  Alessio gave a happy nod with a broad grin when Carla stepped into the sanctuary.

Many of Alessio’s friends and relatives came to Dallas from Italy for the service, so in tribute to them, the ceremony was in Italian as well as English.  The Old Testament reading was in Italian and the New Testament in English.  Alessio made his vows in Italian and Carla made hers in English.  Whatever the language, amore’ was in the air.

The reception was held across town in the luxurious Hilton Anatole.  The fun began with an elaborate figured promenade, a long-held tradition of Carla’s family.  Before the night was over everyone was on the floor line-dancing – another sort of promenade.  The delicious buffet featured a carving table with steaming roast beef.  The bride’s cake was a lacy confection of white adorned with purple flowers.  When it was time to leave, all Carla and Alessio had to do was go up the elevator to their room.

A wedding video from LeniCam is more than a montage of photographic moments.  Of course the highlights of the ceremony, like the entrance of the bride and vows, are part of the video, but the small moments are there also.  LeniCam’s videographers arrive an hour and a half before the ceremony to set up and to capture the excitement of both the bride and the groom.  If they film the reception, they are there from the couple’s entrance to their farewell.

Because LeniCam was there before the wedding to hear Alessio say, “She stays with me, even when I start to be crazy,” Carla will always be able to hear him say it, too.  In turn, Alessio can watch his bride, stopping to help her bridesmaids with their finishing touches, before she puts on her own dress.  Because LeniCam was there until the end, the couple can always share that kiss as the elevator closes.
