Emily and Ben – The Flour Mill in McKinney

Ben considered himself a mature upperclassman, highly superior to the enthusiastic blonde freshman named Emily.  It’s a good thing he decided to be patient with her and made an effort to know her better.  He discovered she was the love of his life. They were married at The Flour Mill in McKinney.

Emily enthusiastically embraces life and brings joy to everyone around her.  She was also a gorgeous bride.  Her stunning strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline featured a ruched bodice and sequined belt.  Her tulle veil was trimmed in crystal.  For something blue she had suede pumps with platform soles and very high heels.  She carried a huge bouquet of mixed flowers with long stems.

Forte Strings, a string quartet, set an elegant mood for the sentimental wedding ceremony.  As a part of their vows the couple shared what they loved about one another.  To symbolize the joining of their two separate lives into one, the couple assembled a unity cross.

The picturesque old mill made a charming setting for the wedding and reception.  Andrea at Absolute Photography did a great job of capturing still photos.  A large wooden frame provided a rustic sort of “photo booth” for shots of the guests.

McKinney Catering put together a lovely reception.  Once the formalities like cutting the cake and tossing the garter were out of the way, the dancing began.  First it was solo dances with the bride and groom, and then everyone hit the floor and stayed there most of the evening.  At the end of the festivities, Emily and Ben changed into shorts and t-shirts and escaped through a crowd tossing birdseed for good luck.

Wedding videographers should be both silent and invisible.  At least that’s our opinion and there are a lot of brides who agree with us.  Emily was one of them.

Modern technology has many innovations that allow video to be taken with equipment that gets smaller and smaller all that time.  Size can limit zoom capabilities however, so to get good quality close-ups, some videographers need to be right in front of the subject.  That’s why at some weddings you will see a videographer following the bride up the aisle and perching near her during the ceremony.

For Emily and Ben we chose to use the much larger professional-grade HD videocameras instead.  We set up our camera behind the audience near the door of the venue.  Most people didn’t even see us, but from there we were able to capture the moment the bride entered the room and joy on her groom’s face.  We followed her up the aisle and made tight close-ups during the ceremony.  All without anyone observing us.  During the reception, we stayed unobtrusively at the edge of the crowd, but still got all the close-ups and all the group shots to make a marvelous, high-quality wedding video.

Melissa and Bryan – Wedding Videography Dallas

Ceremony and Reception at Prestonwood Baptist Church

Melissa and Bryan met at the training gym where they both work.  Shortly after they started dating, Bryan flipped through some pictures of Melissa and realized he was looking at the girl he wanted to marry.  Melissa and Bryan were joined in matrimony at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano.

The beautiful bride chose a strapless fit-and-flare gown decorated with a large floral bouquet appliquéd just above the spot where the gown flared out.  Highlighting her trim waist was a rhinestone belt and a cathedral-length tulle veil cascaded down her back.  The bridesmaids wore short, spaghetti-strapped dresses of sapphire blue.  All the bouquets were made of a variety of white flowers including hydrangeas and peonies.

Before the ceremony, Bryan got a peek at his bride at the romantic First Look.  There Melissa presented him with a heart-felt letter she’d written to him in honor of their marriage.  Karen Lim-Smith and Seranata Strings, a favorite of ours, entertained the guests in the chapel and as the ceremony began, chimes pealed out.  The stage of the chapel was decorated with large wrought iron candlesticks holding column candles.

As Bryan and Melissa posed for pictures after the ceremony, the groom admitted that his back was hurting.  The bride replied, “I don’t even want to hear it.  Four inch heels!”  The high heels didn’t stop the couple from enjoying their First Dance together as man and wife at the reception.

The wedding cake was a beautiful five tiered tower of iridescent white icing.  The cake was trimmed with green hydrangeas and white peonies.  The chocolate groom’s cake was a tribute to Texas A&M, as was the bride’s garter which was trimmed in maroon.  As their marriage celebration drew to a close, the couple made their escape through a shower of white rose petals to the white Mustang convertible which waited for them.

When you watch a Hollywood movie, one of the reasons you are able to feel as if you are actually inside the scenes are  the multiple camera angles, which allow you to see things from several vantage points.  As you watch Melissa and Bryan’s wedding video, you have the same sensation.  That’s because we had two professional grade HD videocameras at the wedding and these cameras have a wide range of zoom capabilities.

One of the cameras is actually a custom-designed, proprietary, remote-control camera on a tripod which we developed specifically for weddings.  With it we are able to get tight close-ups of the bride during the vows, but there is no cameraman at the front of the church distracting the audience away from the couple.  Prestonwood is one of many venues in Dallas which do not allow a videographer at the front of the church, so we are actually the only videographers who could get this shot.

We’re also sound specialists, so we came to the wedding with several types of microphones and with the ability to directly record audio feeds.  That’s why diverse sounds, like the chimes, the live musicians and the bride and groom all come through crystal clear on the video.

Capturing the sights and sounds of Melissa and Bryan’s wedding day was just the beginning of the creation process.  Then we went back to our studio to edit and mix the audio and video footage over the next few weeks.  After we created the demo tape we invited the bride and groom to make any edits they wanted to.  The final product was a full-length video which includes their whole wedding, not just excerpts like this highlight video.

When we first talked to the bride and groom, they were hesitant to have us film their very short reception,  but after seeing the video, they said that having us at the reception was one of the best decisions they made for their wedding day.

Bree and Webb

Videographer for Dallas Texas Captures Bree and Webb at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas

When Webb joined Bree’s study group, he wanted to improve his calculus grade.  He didn’t realize he was also going to improve his love life.  Bree and Webb were married at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas’ beautiful Preston Hollow area and were captured by videographer for Dallas wedding.

Christ the King is a stunning venue for a wedding.  The colorful stained glass windows, marble parquet floors and elaborate chandeliers, with their triple-crown motif, provide an elegant backdrop for nuptials.  Wedding coordinator, Colleen Harkins, produced a polished event.

The lovely bride with her winning smile and big brown eyes was even more stunning than the setting of her wedding.  Her beautiful jewel encrusted gown was fit for a princess.  In this highlights video we see Bree in a t-shirt coming to the church with her gown over her arm.  Then she is transformed by the ornate gown with its corset lacing and magnificent gown.

The formal Catholic ceremony with its readings and communion service was complimented by its regal surroundings.  A string quartet playing classical music completed the opulent tone of the wedding.  After the ceremony, the newly married couple climbed into a sleek black limousine.

A resplendent wedding like Bree and Webb’s is made up of many parts and on the day of the event it would be impossible for any spectator to take in all aspects.  LeniCam videographers worked as a team to capture all the parts making a seamless whole, which could be enjoyed long into the future.  We arrived early to capture the bride as she arrived.  We got exterior shots of the venue, so viewers of the video can remember all the magnificent details. We recorded from various angles so you could see the entire wedding party, as well as the bride’s face as she pledged her love to her groom.

For a wedding video, sounds are as important as the visual aspects.  Vidographer for Dallas wedding uses special noise-reducing, wireless microphones to pick up a variety of audio feeds.  Then back at our studios we weave the audio portions in to the video footage, pulling together a video that encompasses more of the wedding than any guest was able to enjoy.

Kelsey and Brad

Kelsey and Brad’s Wedding at Carrollton’s Ridge Church in Video Wedding Dallas TX

Kelsey was so lovely on her wedding day that when Brad first caught sight of her, he had to take a deep breath to steady himself.  Kelsey and Brad were married at Ridge Church in Carrollton.

For her wedding day, Kelsey chose a beautiful strapless gown of bright white satin with a sweetheart neckline.  The A-line skirt had pick-ups all around.  The bodice and train were decorated with crystal beading.  The front of the skirt opened up to show a beaded underskirt.  Her wedding day look was topped off with a tulle veil.

Kelsey’s bridesmaids wore short strapless dresses of burgundy with large pink sashes.  A tiny flower girl spread rose petals down the aisle and a couple of junior bridesmaids rounded out the bridal party.  Kelsey and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of mixed flowers in shades of pink and white.

Kelsey and Brad wrote the vows they made to one another.  It was touching to see how intently they listened to hear what the other said.  When the rings were exchanged, Brad’s did not go on all the way, but he assured Kelsey that he’d get it on and keep it on.

Music was provided for the wedding by a stringed quintet.  The aisle was covered in white and lined with rose petals.  Arrangements of pink and white flowers hung from pew ends and graced the front of the church.  The podium area was covered in tiny votives.

We want every bride to have a video record of her wedding day.  We believe the wonderful sights and sounds of the special day can help through the rough times and make the good times even sweeter.  That’s why we worked with Kelsey to get our services into her tight budget.  She really wanted a professional video of her day, but she didn’t know how she’d afford it.

After discussing the options she decided that capturing the wedding ceremony was her highest priority and she only wanted one camera.  Whatever the budget, we dedicated to providing high quality cinemagraphic wedding videos to clients.  Our cameraperson hustled to get his equipment set up and visit both the bride and the groom before the ceremony  Though we used only one videographer, we employed visual tricks to make it seem as if there were cameras in several positions. One of the tricks up our sleeve was the nine foot tripod we set up at the back of the church.

After filming the ceremony we returned to our studio and over the next several weeks edited and mixed the audio and video footage to provide a lasting record of their wedding.
