Wedding Videographers Dallas Capture Jordan and Josh at Ashton Gardens

Jordan and Josh at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas

To symbolize their new union, Jordan and Josh each poured salt from individual small bags into a common container. Tradition says their union can only be broken when each grain of salt can be separated out and given to the one who offered it. The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas.

The beautiful bride chose a strapless lace A-line gown with tiny covered buttons down the back for her wedding day. Around her waist she tied a satin ribbon in taupe adorned with fabric flowers. Her bridesmaid, also in long strapless gowns, were in deep blue. Their gowns were empire-waited.

Because of the three large windows surrounding the Ashton Garden’s chapel, it appeared that the couple was being married in a forest. Black wrought iron candelabra with white candles provided an elegant background and white columns topped with flowers finished the lovely décor.

Before the wedding, Jordan enjoyed the comfort of Ashton Garden’s dressing room while Josh chatted with our videographers under a sunlit pergola. After the ceremony, everyone strolled from the pretty chapel to the luxurious reception space. Jordan and Josh made a grand entrance down the large curved staircase. The gorgeous space with its brocade walls and crystal chandeliers also has large windows looking out on the woods.

A live band entertained the guests. The couple danced their first dance together and then danced with their parents. Jordan cried as she danced with her father. The tears gave way to laughter as she and Josh cut their cake.

The beautiful wedding cake, decorated with large red roses, looked as if it had been wrapped in yards and yards of white organza ribbon. The couple cut the first piece and then shared it. The playful bride demurely accepted a bite from Josh and then shoved a bite into his face. The groom good-naturedly wiped away his misplaced helping of icing.

Guests enjoyed dancing to the live band and hamming it up with props from the photo booth. As the couple departed the guests showered them with confetti. About halfway down the sidewalk, Josh stopped and dipped Jordan for a kiss which the guests heartily applauded. The couple drove away in a white vintage car.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

Jordan and Josh were working with a tight budget. Still, having a video of their wedding day was important to them. We understood that. We’ve filmed many weddings at Ashton Gardens and for most of them we use two cameras. However, to help Jordan and Josh stay within their budget, we figured out how to capture the wedding and create the illusion of multiple vantage points with only one camera.

We put the camera on a rolling tripod. That way we had the best of both worlds – the stability of a tripod for quality shots and the mobility of wheels. When we took the footage back to the studio, there was a lot of editing to do, but the final product was appreciated by the frugal couple.

Chinye and Osagie in Dallas Wedding Video

Chinye and Osagie at the Marty Leonard Chapel and Mira Vista Country Club in Fort Worth

“You can’t kiss me yet,” Chinye warned when Osagie spontaneously hugged her during their vows. The kiss would come later and what a kiss is was! Chinye and Osagie were married at the beautiful and architecturally-significant Marty Leonard Chapel in Fort Worth, Texas .

For her wedding day Chinye chose a white satin ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, worn with a short-sleeved bolero jacket. The shirred fabric of her drop-waist bodice hugged her torso and a jeweled belt emphasized her waistline. Opaque appliquéd flowers dusted her sweetheart neckline. On the full skirt of the gown, shirred satin eased into softer folds strewn with pearls.

Chinye’s bridesmaids wore sleeveless chiffon gowns in a rich plum color. The honor attendant wore the same gown in lavender. The attendants carried bouquets of white hydrangeas and stepped out in sliver shoes. The bride’s bouquet was filled with plum and lavender roses.

The wedding ceremony began with a parade of rambunctious young fellows in tuxedos carrying a series of signs informing Uncle Osagie that his bride, Aunt Chinye, was about to appear. The doors of the chapel were closed as the flower girl in her frilly white ball gown solemnly made her way down the aisle. Then the doors opened for the beautiful bride.
The audience was filled with guests wearing colorful cultural clothing inspired in Africa. The bride’s family wore deep blues and purples, while the groom’s side favored crimson and peach. Everyone sang lovely hymn accompanied by a live harpist.

Chinye carried the music into her vows by singing a passage from Lamentations to her groom, but she was too emotional to finish on her own. The congregation joined her for the final portion as her anxious groom wiped away her copious tears. She bravely continued by reading a passage from the Book of Ruth. During Osagie’s vows he promised to provide “very tender loving care,” something he’d already demonstrated when he wiped away her tears. Coming to the end of his vows he was so overcome with emotion that he grabbed his bride up in a hug – that’s when she warned him to save the kiss for later.

The couple included the lighting of a unity candle in their service, leaving the tapers of each family glowing after the unity candle was lit to indicate that their strong family ties would continue. Then finally it was time for the kiss.
Osagie grabbed his bride up in a passionate embrace which caused the young groomsmen to react with exaggerated animation, jumping into the air and hiding their eyes. The audience voiced their approval and as the kiss continued, the maid of honor exclaimed, “Alright! Get it on!”

All that Chinye could say after being released from the extended embrace was, “Oh Baby!” The couple’s joy was so great they danced through their guests during their exit.

Between the ceremony and reception the newly married couple was joined by their wedding party for formal photos. The exuberant nephews were irrepressible, climbing all over the bride and groom as the photographer struggled to get the perfect shot. Finally everyone reunited at Mira Vista Country Club for the lively reception.

A towering cake of lacy icing with purple orchids cascading down the side dominated the room. After cutting their cake, sharing a first dance and tossing the bouquet and garter, the bride and groom made a wardrobe change, returning to the room in outfits in the African tradition. Chinye wore a headdress and top in plum matched with a white wrap skirt and shawl. Osagie was all in white. As they stepped onto the floor and began to dance, their guests rushed to crowd around them, showering them with money.
The couple made another wardrobe change, this time choosing cultural clothes in various tones of brown, the color they had chosen for the new family they had formed. Their guest waved sparklers as the couple made their way to a beautiful white Camaro convertible and drove off into the night.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

Our videographers captured this sweet ceremony with a pair of professional grade HD videocameras. One of the cameras was our custom-designed proprietary camera. That’s how we got the intimate shots of the couple’s vows and captured the exuberant responses of the wedding party to that kiss. It seems as if our cameraman must have been standing just behind Osagie, but instead our camera was hidden from sight among the beautiful floral arrangements and the cameraman did his work remotely from the back of the church, watching the scene unfold on a monitor.

We were able to clearly record Chinye’s voice as it faded away during her sung hymn, because we had a wireless microphone of Osagie’s lapel. The microphones on the cameras picked up the soft voices of the congregation as they finished the psalm. In the video it flows smoothly, just as it did at the ceremony, however, the effect was only achieved by careful editing and mixing.

Courting Co-Workers Marry in a Flower Mound Wedding Chapel Captured by Wedding Videographer Dallas TX

Theresa and Dwayne – Le Beaux Chateau in Flower Mound

The first time Dwayne saw Theresa he was waiting for a job interview. He still remembers the red jacket with a big black button she wore that day. He got the job and had the opportunity to make friends with the stunning woman in the red jacket. After several years their friendship warmed into love. Theresa and Dwayne were married at Le Beaux Chateau in Flower Mound.

Theresa was radiant in her white fitted gown with large crystal accents cascading across the bodice. The strapless gown with sweetheart neckline and corset closing hugged her torso with shirred satin. A crystal ornament gathered the gown to the side at her knees. Below the knees the dress flared out and became a wide poufy train. The groom looked pretty stunning himself in a white tux with white accessories. Theresa paid homage to that red jacket on her wedding day. She and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of red roses.

The beautiful chapel with its leaded glass windows and crystal sconces made a lovely background for a touching wedding ceremony. On either side of the aisle, pews were draped with white tulle sways held in place with silk magnolias. At the end of the pews sat a large column candles in a hurricanes surrounded by red rose petals. A pair of large urns filled with white silk flowers graced the stage.

Dwayne’s sons walked Theresa down the aisle. Her smile widened as she drew closer to her beloved. During the ceremony they lighted a unity candle and participated in a sand pouring ritual. The smiles on their faces were easy to read as they were introduced for the first time as Mr. and Mrs.

A tasty buffet of hors d’oeuvres waited for the guest at the reception. After the bride and groom entered the ballroom, they shared a first dance and then cut their beautiful cake. Dwayne was so besotted with his new wife when she offered him a fingerful of icing that he almost forgot their audience. When they sat down to their first meal, complete with a luscious-looking shrimp cocktail, Dwayne offered up a sweet prayer in thanksgiving for their blessing and in petition for happiness in their marriage.

After an energetic evening complete with line dancing and a hip-hop demonstration by Dwayne’s sons, the couple finally had a moment to themselves. Dwayne led his new wife, still wearing her veil with her street clothes, in a solo dance and then dipped her low for a perfect ending.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

When Theresa and Dwayne were married, this wedding chapel had a different name. Since their wedding, the venue manager lost their lease and for several weeks couples didn’t know whether they could have a wedding there or not. The new management is going strong and the owners of the building consulted with the stranded couples to work things out, so the potential wedding disasters had happy endings.

Few things can be more disruptive to wedding plans than a vendor who goes out of business. That’s why we’re very proud of the fact that we’ve been doing what we do for over a decade. As we’ve served the brides of North Texas with videography services we’ve seen a lot of vendors come and go – but we’re still here. We’re proud of our staying power, in part, because it’s given us a lot of experience. The proof of that is in the high quality of our videos.

On Theresa and Dwayne’s wedding day, we showed up an hour and a half before the ceremony. We had a lot of audio and video equipment to unload and set up. We also wanted to reassure the couple that whatever happened, the videographer was there and ready to go. After we got set up, we visited the bride and groom as they got ready for their big day.

Another benefit of our experience is our custom-designed remote control video-camera. Theresa, like most brides, wanted tight close-ups during the vows, but she preferred not to share her big moment with a videographer standing next to her. Many venues won’t allow a videographer up close during the ceremony, even if the bride was willing for them to be there. That’s why we developed our proprietary camera. Because it’s remote control, the videographer is out of sight, monitoring the action on a remote screen. The camera itself is over to the side, out of the guests’ line of sight, and because it’s a professional grade HD videocamera, we can get high-quality close-ups without being next to the bride.

Our experience has also taught us that we need more audio coverage than the microphone on a videocamera can provide. We use a lot of microphones and audio feeds to pick of the sounds of the wedding and one of our favorites for this wedding was a wireless mic on Dwayne’s lapel. With it we picked up a flawless recording of the vow, as well as endearing sentiments like the prayer before their meal and Dwayne’s comments during the cake cutting.

We promise our couples, no matter what happens on your wedding day – good and bad – you’re going to love your wedding video. Theresa and Dwayne certainly did.
