During their First Dance, Mario and Pricilla disagreed over who loved whom most.  A kiss interrupted the discussion and proved there was plenty of affection in this relationship to last through the years.  Mario and Priscilla were married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

The bride was a stunner.  That was easy to tell as she posed for FOS Photography in the chapel before the wedding.  The setting was lovely.  The chapel is glass on three sides and opens onto dense woods.  Inside the window were wrought iron candelabra, ivy-topped ionic columns and floral urns on Corinthian columns.

Pricilla’s beauty outshone everything else.  The svelte bride wore a strapless fit-and-flare gown of brocade with sheer ruffles at the hem.  The sweetheart neckline was set off by a fingertip veil edged in pearls.  Underneath her gown the bride wore a pair of high-heeled white satin pumps with great big bows.  Priscilla’s bridesmaids wore short one-shouldered turquoise gowns with turquoise pumps as high as the brides.

Bringing youth and vitality to the ceremony was a cadre of pint-sized attendants.  They almost stole the show as they made their way down the aisle.  The girls wore clouds of white tulle with turquoise sashes, set off with large silk turquoise roses.  The male ring bearer had a white tux with a turquoise shirt.  At the reception, the kids continued to vie for the center of attention, but all eyes remained on the beautiful bride and her handsome groom as they entered the room down Ashton Garden’s curving staircase.

Ashton Gardens is perfectly suited for the use of our proprietary remote-control camera.  Those gorgeous windows which make weddings so extraordinary also leave nowhere for a cameraman to hide.  We solve that problem with our remote control technology and no one else has it.  With this camera we’re able to get close-ups of the bride during the vows without having a cameraperson in sight.

Because the large windows are combined withtile floors in the chapel the resulting echoes can affect the audio portion of our video.  That’s why we put a lapel microphone on the groom.  The words of the ceremony are recorded directly off the mic’s audio feed, so they are crystal clear in the video.  As a bonus, we get to record other snippets of conversation, like the affectionate disagreement during the first dance.

All our brides love their wedding videos and this one was particularly precious to Priscilla.  She was raised in Brazil and her family was not able to attend the wedding.  She thought it was wonderful to have a way to share her wedding day with those who were unable to be there.

Jim was Grace’s ballroom dance instructor and she was his best student.  Whirling around the dance floor they learned to dance well together and then they discovered their harmony extended beyond the dance floor.  Jim and Grace were married at the historic Rose Chapel in Ft. Worth.

Rose Chapel began its life in 1911 as the Central Methodist Church.  Many lovely weddings were held in those days.  Since then, the congregation moved on and the facility served other purposes, but today, they’re back to performing weddings in the chapel, like Jim and Grace’s.

Grace wore a form fitting, halter gown studded in crystal. It was complimented by crystal chandelier earrings, a stunning crystal necklace and fingerless gloves encrusted in crystals.  Her groom looked dapper in a morning suit, with tails and ascot.

Candles and bouquets adorned Rose Chapel.  Each pew was graced with a flowing decoration of white tulle and purple ribbons.  Jim grinned widely as his bride appeared. Joy could be seen in the couple’s smiles and heard in their humorous quips during their vows.  The lighting of a unity candle symbolized the lives they were joining together.

After the wedding, Jim and Grace’s friends gathered on the stairs of Rose Chapel to cheer them into their new life together, but it was all for the cameras.  The doors opened and the couple charged into sunlight for a bright beginning.  Then everyone turned around and went back inside for the reception.  Jim and Grace wanted a “going away” shot, but since they planned to dance late into the night, they wanted to get the shot before they shooed away the vendors with cameras.

The reception was held in the adjoining Grand Ballroom.  No train hampered the movement of this bride as she stepped into a special pair of dancing shoes and onto the floor for an elegant dance with her husband.  The dance had been specifically choreographed for this occasion. Tulle swags were added to her gloves, emphasizing the grace of their performance and the ethereal quality of the music.

The tiers of the white bride’s cake were decorated with deep burgundy orchids and the chocolate groom’s cake was topped with chocolate covered strawberries. The bride and groom shared bites of both cakes without a smear of icing or a single crumb going astray.  Jim and Grace changed into less formal clothes for the balance of the reception, because a live band was on hand to provide dance music.  The floor stayed full, because most of the guests were fellow dancers and the party continued into the night.

LeniCam brought two kinds of experience to Jim and Grace’s wedding which helped us capture the details of the day.  We’ve been making wedding videos for more than a decade and we also record many recitals and dance events.

We arrived an hour and a half before the ceremony to set up our cameras and capture Grace as she decked herself out with sparkling crystals and bright white.  We attached a lapel mic to Jim and hooked up to the audio feeds around the chapel so we wouldn’t miss a word of the entertaining vows.  After the ceremony we hurried over to the ballroom and recorded the sights and sounds of the couple’s lovely performance.  During the ceremony and the reception we tried to be everywhere, recording everything while remaining invisible to the guests and participants.

Then we went back to the studio, editing and mixing the sights and sounds we’d recorded, and in the coming weeks produced a video that will remind Jim and Grace of their special day in the years to come.

Misty and Matthew

The right prayer can make your dreams come true – even when you don’t believe in them.  Just ask Matthew. He didn’t believe in fairy tale romances, but he was ready to settle down, so one New Year’s Eve before he headed to a party, he prayed for God to send him the right girl.  Matthew didn’t only meet the right girl that very night; he got the fairy tale romance, too.  Misty and Matthew were married at Cappella Court Gardens in Carrollton.

One of the things Matthew liked while he was dating Misty was her country girl upbringing which negated “all the craziness typical with city girls.” Country girl Misty’s wedding day was filled with big city style, starting with her stunning trumpet-styled satin gown, covered in crystal and pearl decoration.  The strapless gown with its sweetheart neckline showed off Misty’s crystal jewelry which had a dangling hearts motif.  Her up-do was crowned with a sparkling tiara and a tulle veil trimmed in jewels.

Cappella Court in Carrollton was a beautiful venue filled with romantic staircases, crystal chandeliers and white picture frame paneling.  Misty carried red roses and hints of red could be seen everywhere – in the bridesmaid’s red chiffon dresses, the red bows on the reception chairs, the red rose petals strewn by the two flower girls and in a red ribbon tied onto their unity candle.  A surprising addition to the day was the three dogs, dressed to the nines, led in by the bridesmaids and groomsmen.

The couple wrote their vows to one another and Matthew began his with “I was wrong,” telling the story of his corrected misconceptions about fairytale romances.  Misty was so touched she could barely make it through her own sweet promises.  Anxious to start their life together, the couple headed down the aisle right after their kiss,  before the minister could even pronounce them man and wife.

The appetizer buffet which began their reception was highlighted with a melon basket carved with the bride and groom’s names.  During the first dance, the handsome groom complained about his lack of dancing skills and the bride didn’t argue with him.  Though clumsy on the dance floor, he skillfully picked the song he danced to with his mother, reminding her that he knew it was her favorite song.

During the toasts one of the bridesmaids remarked on Misty’s infectious laugh which was very much a part of the cutting of the couple’s beautiful wedding cake.  Each layer of the cake was covered in sugar flowers.  The tiers of the cake were separated by fanciful columns and between the columns were bouquets of real flowers.

After giggling through the cake cutting, the couple toasted one another with champagne and listened to the fond toasts of their families and guests.  While offering her toast, Matthew’s mom joked about how sickening it was to watch the loving couple interact.  Matthew’s sense of humor didn’t fall very far from the maternal tree.

When it was time to go, the couple climbed into the back of a station wagon which had been decorated to the gills.  With an enthusiastic “Alright,” Matthew let everyone know it was time for he and Misty to go.

While dancing with his bride, Matthew in shirtsleeves dipped Misty for a kiss.  In the video the couple is magically transported to the portico of Cappella Gardens, Matthew’s jacket is back on and he’s once again giving Misty an affectionate dip.

During a wedding we’re everywhere, recording everything and when we get back to the studio we edit and mix the audio and video footage to make the wedding video even more enchanted than it was for guests at the live event.

We used video technology, like our custom-designed remote camera to capture special scenes, such as close-ups of Micelle during the vows.  With it we caught the tight shots without having a cameraperson at the front of the chapel.  We recorded the secret whispered sentiments between the bride and groom by attaching a wireless lavaliere microphone to the groom.

Then we go back to our studios and figure out where to add the magic, so Michelle and Matthew will always be able to enjoy the enchantment.

A pine needle wreath with red poinsettias graced the door of the chapel.  The bridesmaids’ long, one-shouldered gowns were red.  The bride wore holly in her hair and carried white poinsettias.  Even the something old was a grandmother’s handkerchief emblazoned with poinsettias.   Christmas cheer was everywhere at Marissa and Josh’s December wedding in Aubrey’s Harmony Chapel.

The chapel has an over-the-river-and-through-the woods look that feels as if you’re visiting your great-grand-someone.  The rural setting, the stone exterior and wood interior warm the heart while they please the eye.  Add holiday décor and you can almost taste the candied yams.

Marissa looked stunning in her strapless white satin ballgown with a sweetheart neckline.  The empire waistline was accented in the front by a huge bow with a rhinestone clasp.  For the ceremony, the bride wrapped up in a white fur stole looking every bit the winter bride.

The reception was held right next door and the holiday theme continued.  As the couple enjoyed their First Dance, no words were needed, because their faces told the whole story.  These two people are very much in love.

Josh needed a little coaching from Marissa to get the cake cutting down.  The single men participating in the garter toss needed a little coaching from the single women, too.  Even the DJ thought they needed to be a do-over.

At the end of the evening, Marissa and Josh’s friends brightened the night with exploding sparklers as the bride and groom made their way to a waiting horse and carriage.

There was nowhere to hide a cameraperson in the small Harmony Chapel, so we were very glad to have our custom designed proprietary camera.  With it we were able to catch close-ups of Marissa as she vowed her everlasting love to Josh without being a visual distraction to the couple’s guests.  We were also glad we’d put a wireless mic on Josh’s lapel.  That’s how we caught Marissa’s whispered instructions as the couple cut their poinsettia trimmed cake.

Our cameraperson arrived an hour and a half before the ceremony to set up their cameras and audio.  Then they captured the pre-ceremony excitement.  They stayed until Marissa and Josh rode away in the carriage.  Throughout the evening, the videographer was everywhere, recording everything, while remaining virtually invisible to the guests and participants.  Then back in the studio we edited and mixed the footage to create a wedding video Josh and Marissa can enjoy for all their days to come.

Under her wedding gown Joanna wore cowboy boots. She wasn’t the only member of the wedding party who boot-scooted through the ceremony and reception.  In fact, when you watch this video closely you’ll see a perfect mix of Dallas Glamour and Old West Flavor in Joanna and Casey’s wedding at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.

Elegant Ashton Gardens with its beautiful chapel and dazzling reception space provided a wonderful venue for the lovely Joanna to marry her handsome Casey.  The chapel, surrounded on three sides by windows, created a gorgeous wooded setting for the couple’s vows.  After the ceremony Joanna and Casey swept into their reception via Ashton Garden’s dramatic curved staircase.  A delicious meal was shared by all and then the dance floor filled with swirling guests.

Joanna and Casey were supported on their special day by a large wedding party – eight bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, three ushers, a ring bearer and a flower girl – all dressed with an eye to style. A unity candle in the wedding ceremony symbolized the light from these many sources being joined into a new flame.

The corset bodice of Joanna’s strapless gown fell into soft cascades of ruffles which continued all the way to the end of her train.  Around her waist a white sash was held in place by a bouquet of white satin roses. Her attendants wore short coral crepe dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.  The tan suits on the men were accessorized with brown.

For a wedding dessert Joanna served tiers of iced cupcakes.  The heart-felt toasts after dessert demonstrated how much this couple was loved and how well they’d be supported in their new life together.  At the end of the evening, the couple exited the reception under a canopy of bubbles and were whisked into the night by a black limousine.

Lauren and Finley, Cigars and Candlelight

at Ashton Gardens in Corinth

A friend of the groom called the match back in fourth grade.  It took Lauren’s friends a little longer.  It wasn’t until Lauren packed her Louis Vitton bags for a camo-drenched hunting trip that her friends decided she was serious about Finley.  The couple was married at Ashton Gardens in Corinth, Texas.

The wedding guests knew they’d arrived at the right place when they spied the large L and F floral initials on Ashton Gardens’ Chapel doors.  The lovely Lauren was nearby in the Bride’s dressing room stepping into her strapless satin ballgown with its shirred sweetheart bodice and crystal beaded belt.  Long crystal chandelier earrings dangled from her lobes beneath a cascading tulle veil.

The candlelit evening ceremony had a mystical feel.  The chapel has windows on three sides which open to dense woods.  The candlelight reflected on the windows and made it appear as if there were fairy lights among the trees.  Along with candelabras full of flickering flames at the front of the church, the aisle was lined with votives floating in large vases of water.  A live musician provided music for the guests as they entered.

After the ceremony, Lauren and Finley, glided down Ashton Gardens gorgeous curved staircase to the enthusiastic applause of their guests.  Everyone enjoyed the delicious buffet dinner and then the bride and groom cut their cakes.  The bride’s cake had a cascade of white roses flowing down its three tiers.  The groom’s cake was a cigar box made of chocolate with white chocolate dipped strawberries all the way around.

If someone preferred real cigars, there was a cigar maker outdoors, just a few steps away.  Finley slipped away several times to enjoy the craftsman’s skills.  Though the cigar booth stayed busy, most people preferred music over smokes and enjoyed dancing to the live band.

At the evening’s end, a friend with a vintage Rolls Royce pulled up to the portico.  The guests waved balloons, streamers and pennants as Lauren and Finley climbed into the car and rode away to their new life together.

The windows which make Ashton Gardens such a lovely venue for weddings also make it impossible for a videographer to find a place to hide.  That’s why LeniCam developed our proprietary remote control camera.  For Lauren and Finley’s wedding we placed the camera inconspicuously on the stage and operated it from the balcony.  This allowed us to get close-ups of Lauren during the vows.  Another camera-person was at the back of the chapel getting the long shots.

At the reception, our videographers worked as a team to capture everything that was happening.  We promised Lauren we’d be everywhere all the time, but remain invisible to the family, friends and participants.  The bride was happy with both our video and our disappearing act.

Afternoon sun streaming into three large windows ignited the bride’s veil and set fire to the jewels in her hair.  The magical effect of Ashton Garden‘s chapel provided a perfect backdrop for Alyssa and Brian’s wedding.

This stunning bride wore a satin fit-and-flare gown with corset lacing.  A line of crystals connected a dropped-waist bodice, covered with sequin-encrusted lace, to a full skirt and train.  The bridesmaids wore short jeweled gowns of deep royal purple and their puffed skirts echoed the longer pouf of the bride’s gown.  A darling flower girl wore a long white dress with a purple overskirt, tying the bride’s color to that of her bridesmaids’.

After a touching ceremony, which included both the lighting of a unity candle and the joining of a unity cross, the couple’s family and friends watched while the formal portraits were made.  The groom’s wry humor kept everyone laughing, so the still photographer didn’t have to urge for smiles, but she did have to hurry, because the groom was hungry for the steak he’d been promised.

The guests strolled across the lovely garden to the reception, where the Grand Staircase with its glamorous crystal chandelier and wall sconces set the stage for a regal entrance by the bride and groom.  In fact, glamorous touches were everywhere.  Silver candelabras adorned the tables and toasting flutes wore crystal covered hearts.  The gorgeous cake appeared to be wrapped in lace and set with pearls.  Ashton Garden’s marble floors, floral carpets and brocade chairs completed the elegant feel of the affair.  And of course at the end of such a grand affair, the long black limousine arrived to whisk away the new wife and her husband.

We recognize special moments and through the magic of technology produce a video which weaves the best of the day into a spellbinding experience.  The bright sunlight which ignited Alyssa’s veil and jewels also forced most of the audience to squint through the ceremony.  Our video captures only the enchantment.
