Video Wedding Dallas TX Captures Chris and Amy On the Riverwalk in San Antonio
All LeniCam brides are special, but this bride is particularly so, because she’s the daughter of our very own John Lenihan, principal and producer of LeniCam Video Productions. It’s also a very special wedding by Texas standards, because it takes place at two important historical sites along the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Chris and Amy were married on a glorious March day.
The festivities began at Omni Hotel’s fabulous and historic La Mansion del Rio. The hotel started as a school, begun in 1853. As the bride dressed, her mom showed off Amy’s great-grandmother’s wedding ring, which Amy would include in her own special day.
The lovely bride wore a strapless rusched sheath, with lace detailing on the bodice. Her long lace trimmed veil cascaded to her hem. Bridesmaids wore long gowns of vibrant blue with crumb-catcher bodices.
A balcony of La Mansion, with rod iron railings, Satillo tile floors and limestone walls provided a beautiful backdrop for the couple’s First Look. Then the wedding party traveled the Riverwalk canals via boat to the also-historic Ursala Convent and Academy, built two years earlier than the hotel, in 1851. Ursala is now home to the prestigious Southwest School of Art.
Under a chupa on the grounds of the Ursala Convent, Chris and Amy vowed their love to one another and then Chris performed the Jewish wedding ritual of stomping on and breaking a glass wrapped in a white cloth.
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in the courtyard of the convent during the formal photography session and then the party moved indoors. The reception began with spotlight dances by the couple, with each other and with their parents. Then everyone took to the floor for the lively hora, as the couple and their parents were lifted into the air in chairs. The dance floor remained full for the Texas favorite, Cotton-Eyed Joe. At the end of the evening, guests pelted the couple with flowers as they stepped into a sleek black limousine which carried them away into the night.
Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions – Video Wedding Dallas TX
Amy and Chris’s wedding day took place all along the Riverwalk, indoors and out, in bright sunlight and the black of night. Proper lighting is a key ingredient of video quality. Too much light and facial features disappear. When there’s not enough light, everything disappears. Wedding video Dallas TX was ready for this.
In this video, the smiling faces of the wedding party as they ride cruise along the river are easy to see. Later during the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom are under a chupa, but there are no shadows on their faces. Then, late at night, when Chris and Amy climb into their limousine, our wedding video Dallas TX cameraman captured the black vehicle as it sped into away into the black night.
Brides and grooms have so many things happening around them on their special day that many details get lost. So we capture the details for them. At this wedding, we had a team of highly skilled cinematographers and John was so confident of their skills that he was able to completely enjoy being the father of the bride without thinking about videography -, just the way we want all our customers to feel.
When Amy saw the video she was surprised to see how many people along the banks of the river cheered the bridal party in the boat. She had completely forgotten about it, but now the cheers have been restored to her day and everyone, including John, can enjoy them long into the future.
