Jessica & Matthew’s Wedding Reception in Dallas Event Video

Wedding Reception at Plano Centre

Jessica used to be Paw Paw’s little girl, but Matthew stole her heart away. Jessica married Matthew on a beautiful summer day in July. Their wedding reception was held at Plano Centre. Paw Paw’s serenade for his little girl, was a precious highlight of the event.

The reception began with the newlyweds fist-pumping their way into the Plano Centre. Family and friends greeted them with enthusiastic applause. The venue looked particularly charming for Jessica and Matthew celebration. White tablecloths covered the tables and large satin bows held white chair covers in place. Large arrangements of mixed bouquets decorated the front tables. Delicious hors d’oeuvres waited on a buffet.

The bride was lovely in her strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. The elegant beaded bodice topped a many-layered tulle skirt. Her fingertip-length tulle veil was trimmed in pearls and featured a scalloped edge. She carried a colorful bouquet of mixed flowers which matched the floral arrangements on the tables. Her bridesmaids wore long strapless dresses in bright yellow, which matched the accessories for the groomsmen’s tuxes.

After their entry, Jessica and Matthew sat down across from Paw Paw in the middle of the dance floor. Paw Paw introduced himself to the crowd, strummed a few chords and then sang a touching serenade called “Paw Paw’s Girl” – a touching tribute he’d written about their relationship.

Soon, the dance floor hosted the couple’s first dance and their dances with their parents. As the evening progressed, the floor stayed busy with dancing of all kinds, from romantic slow dances, to line-dancing – even the Cotton-eyed-Joe.

The multi-tiered wedding cake, all in white, had a companion groom’s cake dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys. After toasting with champagne, the bride tossed her bouquet to an eager group of single women. If the bouquet tossing tradition is true, some of the single ladies might have to wait quite a while for their wedding day. It will be some time before the young girl who caught the bouquet will be heading down the aisle. Matthew used a football to assist him in tossing the garter.

At the end of the evening, the couple escaped through a storm of bubbles to a white vintage car waiting to take them into their new life.

Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions

Sometimes producing a great video requires some detective work and quick thinking. Paw Paw planned to perform his serenade without any amplification. Our videographer realized this might be fine for the performance, but on the video the song would get lost in the ambient noise. So we pulled out one of our microphones. The song came out perfect and every word of it can be enjoyed without distraction.

This was a one-camera shoot. It required careful shooting on the part of our videographerand very detailed editing by our producer to give it the smooth look of the completed video. That’s the benefit of using a professional videographer to capture your wedding day memories.
