Kimmy and Buddy – St. Andrew Episcopal Church and The Fort Worth Club
From stained glass windows to Ave Maria and crystal chandeliers to cathedral length veil, Kimmy and Buddy chose classical elegance for their wedding day. Every sight and every sound was selected to give their guests in Fort Worth, TX something special to remember.
Their ceremony was held in the historically and architecturally significant St. Andrews Episcopal Church . Stunning stained glass windows shipped from England in the nineteenth century added glowing color to the ornately decorated sanctuary. The scene included dark wood for the pews and carved paneling, crimson carpet and a stunning Carrera marble altar. The air was filled with the sounds of the pipe organ playing classical musical selections and a thrilling soloist who sang Ave Maria and The Lord’s prayer.
Kimmy looked even more beautiful than her surroundings. Her strapless gown with sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice glimmered with crystal beading. The skirt of the fit-and-flare gown was made of cascades of organza ruffles. She chose crystal set in silver for her accessories including snowflake-like hair ornaments, chandelier earrings, a necklace with a floral motif, a brooch at her neckline and a jeweled belt. Her white rose bouquet was wrapped in crystal stones. As her father escorted her down the aisle she was trailed by a cathedral length tulle veil trimmed in lace. No wonder Buddy in his tuxedo and white tie wiped away a tear when he saw his bride.
After the lavish ceremony Kimmy and Buddy were whisked away from the church by a horse and carriage to the Fort Worth Club . Like the church, this edifice is also important to the history and architectural significance of the city. The reception was held in the gorgeous Horizon Room which is graced by magnificent chandeliers.
For the reception, Kimmy traded her cathedral length veil for a frothy Fascinator. She danced her First Dance with Buddy and another with her dad to the sound of a live band. The band continued entertaining throughout the night and included a female fiddler who was greatly appreciated by the younger guests.
The splendid six-tiered wedding cake complimented Kimmy’s bridal finery, echoing the glittering ornaments on her dress and in her hair. In a playful interaction, the couple started out sharing the first bite of the cake with decorum, but ended up with icing on both their faces.
At the end of the evening the horse and carriage came to carry the couple away from the club as guest showered them with confetti.
Behind the Scenes with LeniCam Video Productions
As you watch the video pay close attention to the close-ups we were able to capture during the vows. Our remote control camera allows us to be the only videographers who could get this shot. St. Andrews is understandably protective of their gorgeous interior and they are very strict about what photographers and videographers can and cannot do in their space. We’re proud that we have this custom designed proprietary camera that gets the shots other videographers would have to miss.
We used another camera in the back of the room to record Kimmy as she entered with her father. The groom wore a wireless microphone which allowed us to get a good recording of the vows. He wore it for us during the rest of the evening so that we could hear that discussion during the cake fight.
After we record the sights and sounds of a wedding we return to our studio and over the next few weeks our producers works to edit and mix the audio and video portions we captured. The finished proof is given to the bride and groom for their edits. When we’re through, the couple is provided with multiple copies of the video on DVD and BluRay. We also store all of it on our secure server, just in case.
